I'm proper excited about these Commonwealth Games 
! But, back in my day, we didn't have all these fancy adaptive sports competitions like Para-powerlifting, did we? It was all about traditional sports like athletics and swimming. I mean, I remember watching the Olympics on telly with my mates and cheering for our national heroes. And now, look at it – Scotland's got a young para-athlete like Finlay Davidson making history! 
He's got some tough competition ahead of him, but I'm sure he'll give it his all and show us what he's made of. The fact that the Para and non-Para athletes will be competing together is really cool, though – it shows that everyone's equal in sport, innit?

think its great that para-powerlifting is getting more recognition now, but feel like were still a long way off in terms of accessibility and funding 
not many people know about para-sport events or have access to the same resources as able-bodied athletes 
gotta keep pushing for more inclusion and equality in sports!
