omg i'm so down for Art Basel Qatar ! i mean, it's about time we saw more artists from the Middle East and North Africa get a platform . and that one-artist-per-gallery approach? genius . i love how they're trying to disrupt the traditional art fair model and focus on community-oriented programming . plus, having Bruce Nauman's video work at the fair is like a total dream come true . let's hope it sets the bar high for future art fairs and we get to see more innovative programming !

I'm not sure about this Art Basel Qatar thing . I mean, they're trying to bridge the gap between the Middle East and the international art world, but is it just a bunch of rich people showing off their fancy art pieces ? And what's with all these 'regional and transnational narratives' being showcased? Is that just code for 'expensive art from rich countries that don't have to compete with each other'? The format is supposed to be more curatorially focused, but I'm not convinced it'll actually make a difference. It's still just going to be a bunch of galleries charging top dollar for their wares . And what about the community-oriented and educational programming? Is that just a PR stunt to make everyone feel good about themselves?

omg did u see the pics of ali cherri's solo presentation? it was like he took all these creepy animal masks and just put them on display... idk if its art or just a crazy middle eastern guy with a lot of taxidermy skills but seriously who is lil bruce nauman tho? always been fascinated by his work, beckett's chair portrait rotated was straight fire gotta wonder how much that thing cost to make tho, like, millions or something

omg I'm so stoked about Art Basel Qatar ! I think it's gonna be a game changer for the Middle East art scene, you know? having all these galleries from around the world come together is like, super dope . and to see some of these amazing artists showcasing their work is just incredible . I'm loving how they're trying to create this balance between commercial and curatorial goals - it's all about finding that sweet spot, you feel? . can't wait to see what other cool things come out of it!
