David Ellison extends deadline for Warner Bros. Discovery takeover offer

Ugh 😩 I'm getting so frustrated with all these corporate takeovers! It's like they're just buying up everyone and putting the entire media landscape under one giant microscope 🤯 Can't we have some competition around here? Like, what if Netflix or Paramount actually invested in their own content instead of just trying to crush each other? And don't even get me started on the lack of transparency with these deals... it's like they're hiding something from us, you know? 💸 It's all so shady 🤑
 
I don't know... 🤔 I mean, David Ellison is trying to do what's best for Warner Bros. Discovery, but at the same time, he's being super aggressive with that $108.4 billion offer and it kinda feels like he's putting all his eggs in one basket, you know? 🥚 And then there's this whole thing with Netflix, I'm not sure if they're really getting the support from regulators or just getting a free pass because of who they are... 🤑

But on the other hand, I think it's cool that David Ellison is still going for it despite all these obstacles. He seems like a real go-getter and his connection to the Trump administration might actually be an asset in this situation. 💼 Plus, the prospect of merging Warner Bros. Discovery with Paramount Skydance could lead to some amazing new projects, but at what cost to diversity and inclusion? 🎬 That's the part that keeps me up at night... 😬

but you know what's even more interesting? how david ellison thinks he can just magically make this deal happen without anyone getting all up in his grill about antitrust issues 🤑

i mean, i get it, paramount and skydance did have that sweet fcc approval back in 2022... but times change, reggies change, deals change... something's gotta give 😒
