Fogs in Cali are always a thing, but honestly, how many times have we been driving around with our lights on like 10 yards away from other cars? 
It's not just about visibility, it's about being aware of the fact that you're part of the traffic jam, and there's another driver out there who's gonna try to pass. So yeah, slow down, be careful, but also, don't assume everyone else is a total newbie like you.

I remember when my kids were young, we had a few close calls like this, and it was terrifying. But yeah, these safety tips are spot on – if you can't see anything, stop and wait for the sun to come out (or at least until someone else is brave enough to drive through it)
