I mean... I think it's pretty cool that Devin McCourty spoke up about this

. Like, he's got every right to be frustrated - his boss and friend is being snubbed for the Hall of Fame. But at the same time... the guy has a point? I mean, shouldn't the Pro Football Hall of Fame be all about honoring the most iconic players and coaches in the sport?

Not just making excuses for people who are already basically legends.
And yeah, I get why fans would take it personally when Belichick doesn't get in. He's like a coaching deity or something

. But maybe we should be focusing on the positives? Like, there are some amazing new guys getting inducted this year...

. It's not all about Belichick (even though he is basically Belichick)

.
The thing is, I think McCourty might be right that the Hall of Fame voting process needs a shake-up. But I don't know... it feels like just changing one thing would fix everything?

Like, what's next? Are we gonna start rewriting all the old records and awards?

.
Anyway, it's definitely sparked an interesting conversation, right?

And hey, at least we can all agree that McCourty is passionate about this stuff... even if he is being a little contradictory
