Dilworth Park’s ice rink and Wintergarden return for the 2025–26 winter season

Dilworth Park Set to Reopen as Winter Wonderland in November

The City Hall plaza is gearing up for another festive season, as Dilworth Park prepares to transform into a winter attraction starting Friday, Nov. 14. The park has proven itself to be a top destination for Center City residents and visitors alike, with last year's numbers reaching an impressive 3.7 million visitors.

This year's offerings include the return of the Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink, which will open its doors with daily skating sessions through Feb. 22. The rink boasts affordable admission prices of $7 for kids under 10 and $10 for adults, while skate rentals are available for just $10. Visitors can book timed, 90-minute sessions online and even reserve locker rentals.

A revamped Rothman Orthopaedics Cabin will also make its debut, featuring an expanded indoor space with a fresh food and drink menu, complete with bar service and TV screens for fans to catch their favorite games while warming up by the fire pit. Private group rentals are also available.

For families, there's plenty of holiday cheer in store. Two special Breakfast with Santa events will take place on Saturdays, Dec. 13 and 20, complete with a buffet meal, photos with jolly old Saint Nick, and time on the ice. These morning sessions require advance reservations.

As the park transforms into a winter wonderland, the Wintergarden at the south end will remain open through March 15, showcasing illuminated sculptures, seasonal plants, and mulled wine from Chaddsford Winery for adults 21+. The Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market will also return through Jan. 1, featuring local vendors selling handmade goods, artwork, jewelry, skincare products, and more.

For those looking to plan their visits, a full schedule of events and ticketing information is available at dilworthpark.org.

Ugh, can't they just simplify the booking process for the ice rink? I mean, who needs to book 90-minute sessions online when it's already $10 for skate rentals?! 🤦‍♀️ And what's with the limited session options? Can't we just have walk-in skating like always? Also, Rothman Orthopaedics Cabin is just a fancy way of saying "expensive bar". Who needs to pay for a fire pit and TV screens when you can just bring your own thermos and watch games on your phone at home? 🤷‍♀️ And don't even get me started on the cost of food and drinks... $10 for a hot chocolate?! 😩

OMG u guys!!! 🤩 Dilworth Park is gonna be SO lit this winter!!! 🎄 They're bringing back the ice rink and it's like, only $7 for kids under 10?!?! 💸 That's crazy affordable! And the Rothman Orthopaedics Cabin is getting a major renovation, yay! 🏰 I need to check out that bar service and fire pit ASAP. 🍹🔥 The Breakfast with Santa events sound so much fun too, especially with the buffet meal and photos with Santa... my fave time of year is just around the corner! ❤️ And can we talk about the Wintergarden? 🌃 Those illuminated sculptures are gonna be SO beautiful at night. I'm def planning a trip to Dilworth Park ASAP, who's with me?!?! 😆

The city's decision to reopen Dilworth Park as a winter wonderland in November is a classic example of government-funded social programs that cater to the middle class 🤔. By offering affordable admission prices for kids and adults, they're essentially providing a safety net for families who can't afford more expensive entertainment options. But let's not forget about the taxpayers footing the bill for this event - it's like they say, "you get what you pay for." 😊 The fact that private groups can rent out the revamped cabin for events is also telling; are we seeing a trend of corporate influence on local infrastructure? One thing's for sure, this winter wonderland is going to be a hot spot for politicians and their donors to mingle.

I'm so done with Dilworth Park's winter wonderland thing 🙄 November is already way too early for me to start thinking about cold weather and stuffy crowds. And $7 for kids under 10 to ice skate? That just seems like a way to nickel-and-dime people who are already shelling out money to go in the first place.

I'm so stoked that Dilworth Park is getting all decked out for winter! I mean, it's already an amazing spot, but the addition of the ice rink and Rothman Orthopaedics Cabin is gonna take it to a whole new level 🎄👍. And can we talk about how cute the Breakfast with Santa events sound? My little one would love that! I'm also super excited for the Wintergarden and Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market - I've been eyeing some of those handmade goods all year 💸🎁. November 14th, mark my words, it's gonna be a winter wonderland 🌃👏

omg i'm so hyped for dilworth park's winter transformation 🎄🏒️! it's gonna be epic this year with the ice rink & cabin, plus those breakfast with santa events sound like a total blast for fams ❤️. and can't forget about the made in philly holiday market - i need to check out that winery mulled wine ASAP 🍷🎁. they really killed it last year with 3.7 million visitors, lets see if they can break that record again 💪

Ugh, sounds like they're gonna make a killing off tourists this winter 🤑 Dilworth Park's gonna be packed with families on weekends during the holiday season, but where are they gonna put all those people? I'm sure it'll get crazy around the ice rink and Santa events 😓 And don't even get me started on the prices - $7 for a kid's skating session? That's just steep 🤯

its always exciting when cities transform public spaces into cozy winter wonderlands 🎄. i think dilworth park has done an amazing job with its offerings this year - from the ice rink to the revamped cabin, theres something for everyone. the fact that they're making it accessible and affordable for families and visitors is really commendable. the made in philadelphia holiday market and wintergarden sounds like a great addition too! 🎅

Yooo, just got the tea on Dilworth Park's winter reopening 🍁❄️! It's gonna be lit! I heard the ice rink is gonna be packed this year, especially with those affordable admission prices 🤑🏒️. And can we talk about that revamped cabin? Bar service and a fire pit? 🍻🔥 Perfect spot to catch a game or two while sipping on something warm. Not sure about the Breakfast with Santa events for families though... feels like just another way to get us to part with our cash 💸. Anyway, can't wait to hit up Dilworth Park and get into the holiday spirit!

omg u gotta check out Dilworth Park winter wonderland 🎄🏃‍♀️ they got ice rink, cabin, santa breakfasts, & more! 👀 i mean its gonna be so lit 💃 the best part? its free and open to the public 🤝

😒 This all sounds too good to be true... like they're trying to distract us from something 🤔. First, it's Dilworth Park becoming some winter wonderland, then we've got the made in Philly holiday market... just a way for them to keep us shelling out our cash, if you ask me 💸. And don't even get me started on the Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink – sounds like they're just using this as an excuse to sell more ice and skate rentals 🏒️. I mean, what's really going on here? Is it all just a big front for something else? 🤷‍♂️

Dilworth Park as a winter wonderland sounds like so much fun 🎄🏒️! I mean, who doesn't love ice skating and sipping mulled wine by the fire pit? 😊 But, have you thought about the logistics of all these visitors? Like, won't it get super crowded on weekends? And what's with the private group rentals for the cabin? A bit pricey for me, but I guess it'll be nice for those who want a more exclusive experience 🤑. The Breakfast with Santa events sound adorable, though! I just wish they'd add some healthier options to the buffet meals 🥗. Overall, I'm stoked they're bringing back all these festive activities and I'll def be checking out the park this winter ❤️

I'm so stoked they're bringing back the ice rink! I mean, who doesn't love lacing up their skates and gliding around on the frozen fun 🎄🏒️? But, you know, it's also kinda sad that they're gonna shut down the rink after Feb. 22... feels like we're just getting started with winter vibes here in Philly! And, omg, Breakfast with Santa sounds like so much festive fun - I'm totes taking my little one there for some holiday cheer 🎅👶!

omg i'm so hyped for Dilworth Park's winter wonderland this year!!! i've been waiting all summer 🤩 can't wait to hit the ice rink with my friends and grab some hot chocolate from the revamped cabin 🍵👌 and of course, who could resist Breakfast with Santa on Dec 13? 🎅️ booking those tickets ASAP 💖

I'm so stoked they're bringing back the ice rink! My kiddos are going to have the best time gliding around on the ice, holding hands with me while we enjoy the festive atmosphere 🎄🏒️. And I love that there's a special Breakfast with Santa event - my little one has been begging to meet Santa for years now 😊. The Wintergarden sounds like a great spot too, all lit up and magical... can't wait to take some pics of my mini-me in front of the illuminated sculptures 📸💫.
