Disney reaches deal with Google to restore ABC, ESPN, other Disney channels to YouTube TV

Google has struck a deal with Disney to restore ABC, ESPN, and other popular channels on YouTube TV, just in time for some major college football games this weekend. The agreement comes as part of an effort by the two companies to give viewers more flexibility when it comes to choosing how they watch their favorite shows.

As of now, YouTube TV subscribers can once again access a range of Disney networks including ABC and ESPN, offering fans the chance to catch live sports events like college football matches on Saturday. The new deal also includes an option for customers to get the popular streaming service Hulu bundled with Disney Plus as part of select YouTube offerings.

Disney Entertainment Co-Chairmen Alan Bergman and Dana Walden, alongside ESPN Chairman Jimmy Pitaro, released a joint statement expressing their excitement about the new agreement, saying that it "recognizes the tremendous value of Disney's programming" and provides YouTube TV subscribers with more options for watching their favorite shows.

๐Ÿ“Š Just checked out the numbers on this deal... apparently, 70% of YouTube TV subscribers were affected by the channel removal ๐Ÿคฏ! But now they're back, which is awesome! ๐ŸŽ‰ The fact that 45% of Disney's content was removed from YouTube TV in the first place shows how much these companies value their programming and are willing to negotiate for more flexibility ๐Ÿ˜…. I mean, who doesn't love live sports? ๐Ÿˆ The deal includes an option for Hulu to be bundled with Disney Plus - that's a total of $15/month added on average per user! ๐Ÿ“Š If you're a fan of either service, it might be worth considering... stats say 75% of users prefer bundles over standalone services ๐Ÿ“Š. Can't wait for the weekend games! ๐Ÿˆ

omg u guys i just heard this news and i'm so hyped ๐Ÿคฉ!! finally we can watch all our fave channels on youtube tv again, espn and abc are back in the game! this deal is a game changer, especially with those major college football games coming up this weekend. i know some ppl were getting annoyed without these channels but now they're back and it's like christmas morning ๐ŸŽ„๐Ÿˆ. and can we talk about the hulu plus bundle tho? that's the real MVP ๐Ÿ’ฏ. it's gonna be so sick to have all these options at our fingertips, streaming on the go is literally the best thing ever ๐Ÿ“บ๐Ÿ’ป

omg u guys!! i'm so hyped about this news!!! google & disney just made a deal to bring back abc, espn & other popular channels on youtube tv ๐Ÿคฉ! like, perfect timing too - major college football games this wknd and all! can't wait to watch my fave shows again w/o any restrictions ๐Ÿ˜Ž. and the best part? u can now bundle hulu w/ disney plus as part of select youtube offers ๐Ÿ“บ๐Ÿ‘ it's gonna be a great wknd of sports & entertainment!! ๐Ÿ‘

๐Ÿ’ก just great news! been missing those sports channels on youtube tv ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ‘ and now they're back in action. love that google and disney are teaming up to give us more flexibility when it comes to choosing how we watch our fave shows ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Š this deal is a win for anyone who loves live sports or just wants to have more options overall ๐Ÿ‘Œ

๐Ÿค‘ I'm not surprised, tbh. The fact that these major channels are coming back to YouTube TV is a game-changer for cord-cutters. It's like they're being given a free pass to watch all the sports and shows they want without having to pay extra for other streaming services. The bundle deal with Hulu Plus seems like a clever move too - it's a win-win for both sides, as long as you don't mind your viewing experience getting cluttered ๐Ÿ˜….

Personally, I think this is a sign that the big players are realizing the importance of flexibility in their streaming offerings. It's not about just dumping everything into one service; it's about giving users options and letting them choose how they want to watch their content. And let's be real, who doesn't love the idea of watching live sports and your favorite shows in one place? ๐Ÿˆ

๐Ÿคฉ just when you thought youtube tv was gonna lose some big channels lol... glad google & disney came to the rescue ๐Ÿ™Œ now we can catch all the college football games without having to switch between apps ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ“บ i'm a huge sports fan and this is like music to my ears ๐Ÿ’ฅ i hope they keep adding more channels too, would love to see some other popular ones come back ๐Ÿ‘

๐Ÿค” you know what's weird? I was just watching this old video of Jim Carrey doing a stand-up comedy special from like 20 years ago ๐ŸŽค and it made me think about how much stuff is coming back into the mainstream now. It's like we're living in some kind of retro-futuristic dream where old shows and movies are making a comeback. I wonder if we'll see more of this trend with classic video games being re-released or something? ๐ŸŽฎ anyway, back to the news... so yeah, it's cool that Disney is teaming up with Google again ๐Ÿ’ป I mean, who doesn't love having access to their favorite shows and sports events in one place? ๐Ÿˆ

๐Ÿค” So finally, a move that makes sense, eh? Like, what was Google thinking when they took away those channels in the first place? ๐Ÿค‘ It's all about getting back to basics I guess. But now we get it, YouTube TV is still on point. The deal's just a win-win for us viewers, more content, more options... can't complain ๐Ÿ˜Š. And that Hulu bundle? Sounds like a sweet deal if you're already subscribed to Disney Plus ๐ŸŽ‰. Less about the corporate shenanigans and more about delivering what we want, right? ๐Ÿ‘

OMG, I'm so stoked about this deal! ๐Ÿคฉ Like, can you imagine watching a live college football game without having to jump between apps or worry about it being taken off the YouTube TV menu? It's gonna be a major win for sports fans and binge-watchers alike. And the Hulu bundle thing is like, genius - I mean who doesn't want to have all their favorite shows in one place? ๐Ÿ“บ๐Ÿ‘

But seriously, this deal makes total sense because both Google and Disney are just trying to give people more flexibility when it comes to how they watch their fave shows. It's not about competing with each other, it's about giving the audience what they want - which is easy access to all the content they love. Plus, think about all the epic sports moments you'll be able to catch because of this deal! ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ’ฅ

Ugh, I'm so confused lol ๐Ÿคฏ... remember when Hulu was just a regular ol' streaming service and not part of this whole Disney deal? I feel like that's what they're trying to do here, but honestly, who wants to bundle all these services together? It sounds like a lot of hassle, you know? And what about the cost? I don't want to be locked into some huge monthly bill just so I can watch my favorite shows. Can we just stick with one or two services that are easy to use and not break the bank? ๐Ÿค‘

Mmm okay so I was thinking about trying out this new coffee shop downtown ๐Ÿค”, have you guys tried it? heard they have really good cold brew... anyway back to this news, I wonder how much control Disney has over what's available on YouTube TV now that they've got a deal like this. do they just get to decide which channels are included and when?

also, Hulu bundled with Disney Plus sounds kinda cool, but what about the cost? is it gonna break the bank or will it be worth it? ๐Ÿค‘

omg u guys! i was so worried cuz i've been meanin to watch some college football games but i didn't wanna miss out on any other vids ๐Ÿคฃ anyway, this deal is like a win-win 4 me - now i can get all the disney channels back on youtube tv without havin 2 switch 2 Hulu or somethin. & it's cool that they're gonna offer bundle deals with hulu+disney plus too. thinkin bout stockin up on snacks 4 the whole fam this wknd lol

I'm so done with these big corporations making deals to give people what they want for once ๐Ÿ™„. Like, seriously, can't we just have a bunch of random channels on streaming services that are actually worth watching? I mean, who needs all these popular channels like ABC and ESPN when you could be getting some new, original content that's not just remakes of old shows? And don't even get me started on Hulu. It's like they're trying to force us into a whole new bundle deal ๐Ÿ“ฆ๐Ÿ’ธ. Just give me the option to subscribe or not, without all these extras that I'll probably never use anyway...

๐Ÿค” just thinkin', if you wanna watch sports or some fave shows on youtube tv, you gotta pay extra for dis deal between google and disney ๐Ÿค‘ like what's the point in havin' a streaming service if u can't access all ur fave channels for free? ๐Ÿ“บ anyways, i'm hyped that people get to catch those college football games this wknd ๐Ÿ˜„ but at the same time, it's just another reminder that we gotta keep fightin' for better dealz and more options 4 affordable streaming services ๐Ÿ’ช

omg just in time for the big college football games this weekend i was worried i'd have to find another way to watch my fave teams play ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ‘€ anyway its cool that google and disney are working together now i can binge some hulu content too while i'm watching espn's coverage ๐Ÿ“บ๐Ÿ˜„ gotta say the deal sounds pretty sweet for youtube tv subscribers ๐Ÿค‘
