I'm soooo bummed that Donna Jean is gone 
I mean, what's the point of having this kind of talent in this world? It's like, we're all just gonna lose everyone we love, right? 
But, at the same time, I'm glad she's not stuck in some boring 9-to-5 job anymore... I guess? 
I mean, can you imagine if she was still singing with that annoying Neil Diamond guy? Ugh, no thanks! 
On the other hand, it's kinda sad that we'll never get to see her perform live again... or hear those incredible vocals on new music.

her music has always had such a special place in my heart 
"Scarlet Begonias" is like, my ultimate jam 
it's so sad that she won't be around to create new magic with us anymore 
anyway, I'm gonna go put on some of her old stuff and just soak up the sound 
, I remember listening to her on vinyl back in the 90s and being like who is this girl? 
her vocals are still giving me chills even now when i listen to scarlet begonias, so much emotion 
just heard about Donna Jean Godchaux-MacKay... she had an amazing voice 
. She was more than just a singer, though - she had this warm, soulful energy that made you feel like everything's gonna be alright 
. What I love most about her is how she carried on even after life threw her some tough curveballs... she never gave up on music and it shows in all the amazing stuff she left behind 
. Anyway, rest easy Donna Jean - your voice will live on forever
