Local Philly Designers Collaborate with Jason Kelce's Underdog Apparel for Charity Eagles Gear
Philadelphia, PA - The Philadelphia Eagles have teamed up with Jason Kelce's clothing company, Underdog Apparel, to create Birds gear that will benefit a local charity. Four unique designs have been unveiled by the trio of local designers Eric "HeavySlime" Kenney, Paul Granese, and Kees Holterman, who will see their work showcased at Eagles pro shops and online.
One of the new shirts was created by HeavySlime, whose signature skeleton graphic made a comeback with the team's logo in a retro font. The phrase "Bury the Doubt" is featured on the shirt, which encourages fans to believe in the team's chances to win back-to-back championships. Kenney, who has been building his reputation as an independent artist for over a decade, says it was gratifying to see his work taken up by the Eagles after years of working independently.
Other designs include a crewneck featuring a bald eagle clutching the team's Kelly green helmet by Paul Granese and a graphic tee with Swoop, the team's mascot, climbing out of Lincoln Financial Field on the back. The items are for sale at Underdog's website as well as at Eagles pro shops located at the Linc.
Profits from the apparel company will benefit (Be) Philly Foundation, an organization started by Kelce that raises money for charities supporting public schools in Philadelphia. This is the first time Underdog's shirts will be directly sold by the Eagles and all of them will be made in the United States with designs and printing done in Philadelphia.
The collaboration has been met with enthusiasm from fans, who see it as a great opportunity to showcase local talent while supporting a good cause. The limited-edition gear is a win-win for both the team and the community, promoting creativity and charity through Underdog Apparel's platform.
