Philadelphia Eagles Team Up with Local Designers for Charity T-Shirts
In a unique collaboration, Jason Kelce's Underdog Apparel has partnered with local designers to create exclusive Birds gear that will raise money for charity. The four designs, unveiled by the team and Underdog Apparel on Friday, are now available at the team's pro shops at Lincoln Financial Field and remote locations, as well as online.
The collection features unique graphic tees and hoodies designed by Eric "HeavySlime" Kenney, Paul Granese, and Kees Holterman. HeavySlime's signature skeleton wearing a Super Bowl ring has become a standout design, printed in a retro font reminiscent of the team's iconic Kelly green era. The phrase "Bury the Doubt," which resonates with Eagles fans' hopes for back-to-back championships, is also prominently featured.
Underdog Apparel, founded by Kelce in 2022, benefits the (Be) Philly Foundation, an organization that raises money for charities supporting Philly's public schools and works closely with Heights Philadelphia to help low-income youth prepare for college and grow their careers. The brand's commitment to philanthropy is evident in its latest collaboration.
"I know sometimes there's a Super Bowl hangover, and people have a lot of doubt that they can do it again," HeavySlime said about the design. "This was a play on that idea for people to move forward and be hopeful about a repeat."
Paul Granese, founder of Cracked Bell PHL, has also contributed his artistic skills to the collection, with designs featuring iconic Eagles logos and mascots like Swoop. Kees Holterman's artwork features a small Eagles logo on the front and mascot Swoop climbing out of Lincoln Financial Field on the back.
Kelce expressed his excitement about partnering with local designers, stating that all Underdog Apparel shirts will be made in the United States and designed and printed in Philadelphia, marking the first time the brand's shirts will be directly sold by the Eagles.
