Eagles WR A.J. Brown said what about Kevin Patullo?

A.J. Brown Downplays Frustration, Defends Kevin Patullo

In a surprise twist, Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown appeared on popular podcast "The Edge With Micah Parsons" alongside Panthers quarterback Bryce Young to discuss his future with the team and offer some insight into his relationship with former offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo.

When asked if he's excited about the new offense, Brown responded by saying that change can be a good thing, but added that he has immense respect for Patullo and considers him to have done a tremendous job. This comes as a surprise, given Brown's past comments criticizing the Eagles' passing offense, which some interpreted as signs of frustration with the team.

However, when asked about his relationship with quarterback Jalen Hurts, who had previously stated that they were in a "great place," Brown didn't address the issue directly. Instead, he expressed optimism for the upcoming season and credited the team's leadership for its success.

One question did spark some controversy, however. Parsons asked if Brown thought the Eagles could have made it to the Super Bowl with their current roster, leading to an interesting response from Brown. He acknowledged that things don't always go as planned in football and encouraged a growth mindset.

But perhaps the most surprising revelation came when Parsons was asked about his past attempts to join the Eagles. The linebacker revealed that he was indeed very close to joining the team before ultimately being traded to the Packers, citing Jalen Carter as the reason for not wanting to play with him.

Brown's comments on Patullo and the new offense have left some interpreting his future with the Eagles in a more positive light, but it remains to be seen if his words will translate into action.

I'm thinkin' this whole thing is just a smokescreen for what's really goin' on behind closed doors. Brown's all smiles and sunshine now, but we've seen that before with athletes tryin' to save face after a rough season. And let's be real, the fact that he's downplayin' his frustration and instead talkin' about Patullo's 'tremendous job' just seems like a strategic move to keep the peace. I mean, if Brown was really as frustrated as we thought he was, why not speak out? It's all about image control at this point. And what about Patullo himself? Is he gettin' a free pass for his part in the Eagles' passing woes? We need more transparency here, folks! πŸ€”

πŸ€” I'm still trying to wrap my head around AJ Brown's comments on Kevin Patullo... Like, wasn't he just saying stuff that was kinda shady about the passing offense like 6 months ago? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ And now he's downplaying his frustration and defending Patullo? It feels like a 180-degree turn. πŸ˜’ I need to see some real evidence of this change in attitude before I believe it. Sources, please! πŸ‘€

idk why ppl r still hyped 4 AJ Brown rn he's always been inconsistent and never really delivered like everyone expected lol πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ anyway back 2 Patullo... i think its weird hes tryin 2 spin the narrative now but at least he's bein real about his respect for kwp πŸ‘ gotta respect him 4 that

omg can you believe A.J. Brown is like that 🀣 so he's saying all this nice stuff about Kevin Patullo and then he gets asked about Jalen Hurts and just... nothing πŸ™„ like he's hiding something from us, but maybe it's for the best? I mean who wants to be on a team with someone you're not exactly BFFs with? πŸ˜‚ brown's comments are pretty interesting though - maybe he's trying to make peace before leaving? 🀝 and btw did Bryce Young just become the Eagles' QB coach by proxy or what?! 😜

I'm low-key impressed by A.J. Brown's growth πŸ’―. He used to trash the old OC but now he's talking about how much respect he has for Patullo 🀝. I think we can all agree that change in football isn't always easy, and you gotta give it a shot. The fact that he's not bringing up drama with Jalen Hurts is a win-win 😊. And honestly, who knows what would've happened if he joined the Eagles earlier? Maybe they wouldn't have had the same roster chemistry as they do now πŸ€”.

πŸ€£πŸˆπŸ‘€ [A.J. Brown giving a shrug πŸ™ƒ] Like, dude just tried to smooth things over and now everyone's all "Wait, what's going on?!" πŸ˜‚ Meanwhile, Jalen Hurts is just sitting there like "Uh, I thought we were in a great place too... πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ" πŸ’”

im not surprised that aj brown is trying to downplay his frustration with kevin patullo, tbh πŸ€” it's all about damage control and trying to keep the peace with jalen hurts and the rest of the team. but seriously, aj has been pretty vocal in the past about his dislike for the current offense, so this feels like a major u-turn πŸ’₯ it'll be interesting to see how things play out over the next few weeks. maybe patullo's departure is an opportunity for brown to get more involved and really make his mark on the team? 🀞

I'm loving how A.J. Brown is trying to downplay those past frustrations with the Eagles' passing game πŸ€”πŸ’‘ It's like he's shifting gears to focus on the team's leadership and growth mindset, you know? But let's be real, some people are still gonna wonder if his comments about Patullo are just a strategic move to smooth things over before he makes any big changes. Like, is he trying to signal that he's on board with the new offense, or was it just a kind gesture towards a guy who did a great job? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ On a larger scale, it makes you wonder about the value of loyalty in the NFL – are players more loyal to their teammates or to themselves? πŸ’Έ The Eagles' leadership is definitely looking like they're on top of things, but how will this all play out with Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown on the same team? πŸ€”

I'm not buying all this positivity from A.J. Brown πŸ€”. I mean, sure, he's trying to spin things and make us think he's on board with the new offense, but we've heard that before πŸ˜’. And what about Jalen Hurts? He said they were in a great place, but now it sounds like there's some tension between them πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ. I'm not convinced that Brown is being entirely honest about his feelings towards Patullo and the team's leadership.

And let's be real, if the Eagles thought they could make it to the Super Bowl with their current roster, they'd have been playing a whole lot better last season ⚠️. It's easy to say now that things don't always go as planned, but we need to see some concrete changes on the field before I believe any of this 🏈.

I'm still skeptical about Brown's intentions and whether he'll actually stick around in Philly for more than a season πŸ€”πŸ’°. Only time will tell if his words are more than just PR spin 😊

πŸ€” So Brown is just gonna downplay all that drama and now everyone's like "oh cool he's still on board" πŸ™„. I mean I get it, he doesn't wanna look like a sore loser but come on, Jalen Hurts said you guys were in a great place and then suddenly you're all friends again? πŸ˜’ It doesn't add up. And btw, what's with Kevin Patullo getting all the respect now? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ Brown was trashing the old offense just a few months ago, now he's like "oh Patullo did a tremendous job"? πŸ™„ Let's not get it twisted here... πŸ‘€

I THINK ITS AWESOME HOW AJ BROWN IS TRYING TO MOVE FORWARD AND LEAVE THE FRUSTRATION BEHIND! HE SEEMS REALLY DOWN PLAYED ABOUT THINGS AND GAVE A LOT OF CREDIT TO HIS TEAMMATES, LIKE JALEN HURTS. I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY SOME PEOPLE THINK HE WAS FRUSTRATED WITH THE TEAM, THOUGH - HE SEEMED REALLY POSITIVE AND OPTIMISTIC ABOUT THE NEW OFFENSE!

So I'm seeing all these ppl thinking A.J. Brown is playing both sides, but honestly I think he's just trying to keep the peace 🀝. He knows how things go down in Philly and doesn't wanna rock the boat. The dude had some good things to say about Patullo and the new offense, even if it was a bit subtle at first πŸ“Š. And let's be real, we all know how that whole Jalen Hurts thing went down last season πŸ’”. Maybe Brown is just trying to put that drama behind him and focus on winning some rings πŸ†. I'm still on team A.J., though! 😎

omg u guys im literally shaking rn i cant believe aj brown is actually being super nice about kevin patullo lol i was so worried he was gonna trash him but nope he's like totally defended him and said he respects him so much! πŸ€―πŸ‘ i know some ppl might think it's weird since browns been talking trash about the eagles passing offense but idk maybe hes finally chillin out? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ anyway its super cool to see him be optimistic about the new offense and credits the team leadership for their success. and omg can we talk about micah parsons for a sec?! πŸ˜‚ i love how he asked aj brown if they couldve made it to the super bowl with their current roster and browns response was like "nah fam things dont always go as planned" πŸ€”πŸ‘ and lol aj browns response about jalen carter πŸ™„ im just so here for all this drama

he was really calm about the whole thing πŸ€”πŸ’‘ i mean, you can tell he's still thinking about patullo and how much respect he has for him πŸ‘πŸ’― now he's just trying to keep an open mind and see what the new offense brings to the table πŸ“šπŸˆ
