Emile Heskey: 'Gone are the times when you just ignore abuse. No. Why should we?'

can't believe how much crap goes down in football now 🤬. racism is just one part of it, but what really gets me is the parents who think they're above the law on match day 🚫. newsflash: your kid's not special, and yelling abuse at them from the touchline isn't cool. emile heskey's right to be frustrated, tho 👏. that app he created is a great idea, let's hope it makes a difference. Klopp needs to step up his game too 🔄...

just saw this about emile heskey's crusade against racism in football... seems like a necessary step forward 🌟 his personal story is really powerful - it makes me think that we all need to do more to support our loved ones, especially the young kids who are just starting out in sports. i mean, can't imagine how tough it must be for them to deal with abuse from parents and fans... the app he created seems like a good start, but we also need to talk about how to create a culture where people don't feel comfortable shouting abuse in the first place 😕

I'm really disappointed in how things are still going on with racism in football 🤕. I mean, Emile Heskey is right, we shouldn't just ignore abuse anymore. It's like, if you witness something that's racist or abusive, it's your responsibility to speak up and report it. It's not too much to ask.

I'm also really surprised that the issue is still so prevalent in women's football. I mean, female players deserve just as much respect as male players, and they shouldn't have to deal with abuse on top of everything else they're facing. And parents shouting abuse at their kids from the touchline? That's just unacceptable.

I think Heskey's app is a great idea, but it does feel like more needs to be done to address this issue. Social media can make it so much harder for people to report abuse without being harassed or bullied themselves. We need to do better as a society to create a culture of respect and inclusivity.

It's also frustrating that some managers, like Jurgen Klopp, aren't taking these issues seriously enough. But I'm sure Heskey is coming from a good place, looking out for his own kids and wanting to protect them from the same experiences he had. We should all be doing more to support each other and create a safer, more respectful environment in football 🌟

I feel so bad for Emile Heskey and his family 🤕... racism is just not okay in any sport or situation. I mean, what if his sons Reigan and Jaden are at a match and they're getting abused by some parent on the touchline? It's just not right. We need more people like Emile speaking out about this issue and creating apps to help stop it 📲💪

I'm also thinking about the women's football team he works with... they deserve all our support, not just when there are issues, but all the time! They're doing a great job playing the game and we should be celebrating that. And yeah, social media is a big part of the problem - it's so easy to hide behind a screen and say something nasty 📱😠

I don't think many people realize how hard it is for reporting abuse at matches... I've heard stories from friends who have been there and it's not fun. We need more support and better systems in place to make sure everyone feels safe at the game 🚫💬
