England v Brazil? This World Cup draw must offer us glimpses of glory not the grotesque | Jonathan Wilson

I'm so done with all the drama around the World Cup draw 🤯👀 I mean, can't they just focus on picking the teams already? It feels like everything is being controlled by corporate sponsors and celebrities these days... what happened to the pure excitement of finding out who's going to play who? The changes to the seeding system have definitely made it seem more 'made for TV' than actual football 📺. I guess that's just the way the world cup has become - a marketing spectacle rather than a celebration of the beautiful game 🏆

Ugh 🤦‍♂️ I'm so over how commercialized everything is now especially with FIFA... I mean I get it, they gotta make money but can't we just focus on the beautiful game for once? 🏀 This whole seeding-within-the-seeds thing just feels like a bunch of nonsense to me. Why do they need to keep those top teams together all the time? It's just gonna be more boring and predictable... 😴 Can't we just have some natural groupings every now and then? 💭 The Kennedy Center in DC is gonna be lit though 🎉, hopefully it'll bring a bit of class to the whole thing. And omg can you imagine if Jules Rimet was around for this... he'd totally roast FIFA's priorities 😂

🤔 The World Cup draw is getting more about being a spectacle than actual soccer 🏟️... I mean, what's up with all these celebrities and corporate sponsors showing up? Can't they just focus on the teams and the fans? It feels like it's more about Trump's ego trip 🙄. And seeding within seeds? That sounds like a way to rig the game 😬. I just want to see some good ol' fashioned soccer action, not all that glitz and glamour 💃.
