Exclusive | FBI missed multiple opportunities to stop Thomas Crooks before he tried to assassinate Trump, ex-assistant director fumes

omg u no how frustrating is 2 hear abt FBI missin opportunities 2 stop this guy & now trump's lucky 2 be alive 🤯🙏 its like they were waitin 4 him 2 slip up b4 actin lol & it just goes 2 show how blind we r 2 extremism online. Swecker's right tho, if half of Crooks' posts are true, FBI shd've acted ASAP & we cud be talkin bout a whole diff story 🤔 meanwhile, Reps Kelly & Fallon are just tryin 2 deflect & point fingers instead of facin the real issue 💯

this whole thing is super disturbing 🤯. so there's this kid Thomas Crooks making these crazy social media posts threatening violence against politicians, including trump, but the fbi just kinda brushes it off like it's no big deal 🙅‍♂️. i mean what kind of organization turns a blind eye to clear threats of violence? 🤔

and then you got this retired fbi dude saying that there was some sort of bias against right-wing extremism within the bureau, which just adds another layer of complexity to this whole situation 🤯. it's not like these posts were from some random person on the internet, they were coming from someone who clearly had a clear intention to do harm.

the fact that conspiracy theories started spreading because the fbi wasn't transparent about their investigation is just wild 🤪. and now we're seeing how vulnerable social media platforms are to foreign interference and radicalization 🌎. it's like these platforms are just sitting ducks for hostile nations to exploit.

anyway, i think this whole thing highlights the need for better online security measures, or at least more transparency from law enforcement agencies 🔒. and yeah, if you see someone making threats against a public figure, you gotta report it 📝. we can't just sit back and let people like Thomas Crooks get away with their crazy ideologies 💥

🤯 I mean, come on... 24 years at the FBI and Chris Swecker is like "we messed up" 🙈? Like, who doesn't know that if someone's posting about killing the President online, you should kinda take them seriously? 🤦‍♂️ It's not like it's some secret code or something. And what's with the whole bias thing? Can't the FBI just be objective for once? 😒 It's a total shame that this happened and now Trump had to deal with this crazy person trying to assassinate him... it's just so concerning 🤕

🤔 I mean, come on... how could the FBI not take this seriously? Like, multiple posts about wanting to hurt Trump and they just let it slide? That's a C grade? 📊 It's not like they're a bunch of clueless cops or something. I'm not saying they're perfect, but this is ridiculous. And now we've got some conspiracy theory running around that someone should have caught on sooner... 🤯 Like, I get it, bias against right-wing extremism or whatever, but shouldn't they be worried about anyone making threats? It's all just a bunch of noise, you know? 😒

man this is so crazy... like what was the FBI thinking?! 🤯 they had all these red flags with Crooks but just didn't want to touch it because of some bias thingy 🙄 its like, if you see someone threatening to kill the president on social media, you gotta report them ASAP! why did they wait until it came to this? 🤷‍♂️ and now theres all these conspiracy theories flying around its like, we need more transparency not less 📊 what if some foreign nation is using social media to radicalize people in the US?! that's a whole other level of scary 😱
