omg u guys google is literally flooding texas with data centers
they're investing 40 billion into 3 new ones in armstrong & haskell counties and now their total count in the state will be 5 lol what's next amazon & microsoft coming for texas too?
according to stats, texas already has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country which is why these big tech companies are flocking there
i've got some cool numbers here - texas currently gets around 35% less electricity than california where google's other data centers are located
meaning they can save like 10% on energy costs by setting up shop in the Lone Star state
and let's not forget that governor greg abb is hyping this move hard
with openai & anthropic also building data centers across multiple states including new york & texas, it's clear that AI infrastructure is a major player in texas' future growth
