I'm glad they're finally taking responsibility for what went down with Android user data . It's about time someone held them accountable for their actions. I mean, who wants their personal info being siphoned off without their consent? Not me, that's for sure . It's good to see Google is making changes to get users on board with the whole "opt-out" thing - it's not too late, but at least they're trying . I'm also happy to see some real money changing hands for those affected. $100 per user? That's a nice chunk of change . Maybe this will be a wake-up call for other tech giants to follow suit and prioritize user privacy. Fingers crossed !
ok so i think google is getting away with some pretty shady stuff here! i mean $135 million is a lot of cash but it's still not enough considering how long they've been secretly collecting data from people and using it for their own gain . and what really gets my goat is that they're only adding an opt-out toggle because they got caught, not because it was ever the right thing to do in the first place . i'm glad some users are gonna get a little bit of cash back, but i hope this sets a precedent for companies like google to be more transparent with their data collection practices .
