Gov. Josh Shapiro is again pushing for Pa. to legalize marijuana, but advocates say it's a long shot in 2026

idk why gov shapiro keeps pushing for this 🤷‍♂️ like pennsylvania's not even near cali or colorado lol... i get the revenue thing but it's just not gonna fly unless there's bipartisan support 🙄 and honestly, our state rep's are all about party politics over actual policy solutions 😒

🤔 I mean, come on, PA is like the last holdout when it comes to marijuana legalization 🚫. It's not like all those other states bordering them didn't figure it out already 💸. And yeah, Shapiro's budget proposal sounds legit, but we've heard that before too 🤑. The thing is, politicians are pretty good at spinning their wheels, right? 🔴️ It's gonna be tough to get that bill passed with the House Democrats being all inflexible about the state store model 🚮.

And let's not forget those federal issues... like, what even is a Schedule III drug classification? 🤷‍♂️. Maybe it's time for Shapiro to just connect with voters on this issue instead of waiting for bipartisan support 🗳️. I mean, marijuana's been around for ages, and people are still kinda chill about it 🌿. It's like, can't we just get on with it already? 🤦‍♂️

I think it's a shame that progress on marijuana legalization might be slow 🤕. It seems like PA has some great examples of neighboring states that have made it work out nicely financially 💸. With all the $$$ at stake, I'd expect more lawmakers to come around 🤑... but then again, politicians can be pretty stubborn 😒. We just gotta keep pushing for those daily injustices to get solved 🤝... and who knows, maybe re-election will give Shapiro some more juice to push through the legislation 💪!

lol @ pennsylvania still not gettin it 🤦‍♂️, like, other states are makin money off weed and they're just stumblin around? $729 mil in the first year is a big chunk of change, but i guess politics doesn't always care about numbers 💸. gotta feel for Shapiro tryin to push reform tho, but with a divided legislature, it's like tryin to get blood from a stone 🤕. maybe they should listen to Goldstein and focus on solving the daily injustices instead of just chasin revenue? idk, i'm still down for weed legalization, just don't wanna hold my breath 💔

I'm not holding my breath for this one, lol 🤷‍♂️. I mean, I get it, states around us have already made it work, but PA's got a reputation for being slow on the uptake. Shapiro's trying again, which is cool, but if we're gonna make some progress, it needs to be bipartisan effort, you know? 🤝 Can't just rely on one side of the aisle to get things done. And with local law enforcement and federal landscape still all over the place... it's like, can we even get a clear plan in place? 🤔 I'm not saying it's impossible, but it feels like we're spinning our wheels again. Still got faith in Shapiro and the advocates though, they'll keep pushing till something changes 😊.
