Great Thanksgiving debate: Turkey or ham?

The battle for Thanksgiving supremacy has begun, with two titans vying for the top spot: turkey and ham. The traditional favorite, turkey, has long been the undisputed champion of the holiday table, but a new challenger is emerging from the ranks.

For years, ham has been content to play second fiddle to its more popular counterpart, but this year, it's making a bold move to steal the spotlight. And with good reason - ham is often more flavorful and tender than turkey, and its lower cost makes it a more affordable option for families and friends looking to make their Thanksgiving celebration special.

But turkey fans won't give up without a fight. After all, there's something special about gathering around the table to enjoy a juicy, slow-cooked bird that's been the centerpiece of family traditions for generations. And let's not forget about the classic side dishes - mashed potatoes, stuffing, and cranberry sauce are just a few of the many delicious options that pair perfectly with turkey.

So, which one will come out on top? Will it be ham, or will turkey reign supreme once again? One thing is certain: whatever your family decides to serve up this Thanksgiving, there's no denying the joy and gratitude that comes with sharing a meal together.

I remember when my grandma used to make the most amazing turkey dinner for our family gatherings back in the day 🍲. It was always so traditional and special. Now, I'm not saying ham can't be delicious too, but there's just something about that first bite of a slow-cooked turkey on Thanksgiving that gets me every time 😊. Don't get me wrong, my mom's ham dishes are pretty amazing too, especially the one with the honey glaze... but it'll never replace the nostalgia of family gatherings around the dinner table with grandma's famous turkey 👪. I think both options have their place, but for me, it's all about going back to those classic family traditions 💕.

I think its all good, you know? I had Thanksgiving dinner with my fam last year and we did ham and it was still super delicious. But then my aunt brought over her famous green bean casserole from years ago and it's a game changer! Turkey is def classic but sometimes you gotta try new things, right? And honestly, who needs all that fuss when you can just have some good ol' comfort food with the people you love?

Ugh, why do I have to sift through so many cheesy jokes on my news feed about Thanksgiving already?! 🙄 Can't they just report the news without adding all the extra fluff? And another thing, I'm so sick of seeing memes of people fighting over turkey vs ham like it's a real issue. Newsflash: it's just food! 🤪 Anyway, have you guys noticed how every year the same old arguments come up about which one is better? Like, who cares?! It's all about family and friends coming together to enjoy some good grub. Let's just focus on sharing that love and gratitude instead of getting bogged down in a turkey vs ham debate 🦃🥩

i think turkey has a pretty good point about being the traditional favorite, but at the same time, ham is right that it can be super flavorful and affordable 🤔🦃💰

I'm so confused about why people still debate which meat to have for Thanksgiving 🤔. Can't we just have both turkey and ham and call it a day? Like, I love the idea of having a big ol' roasted turkey, but at the same time, a glazed ham is literally my fave 🍖️. And don't even get me started on how much money it costs to make that perfect turkey dinner... wouldn't ham be a more affordable option for most families? But I guess what I'm trying to say is, can we please just focus on the food and enjoy our Thanksgiving meals together without all the drama? 🍴😊
