Just think about it if they can make something that reduces allergy reactions by 50% or more, that's like a lifesaver for people who have severe food allergies especially in the UK where it affects 6% of adults it's crazy how much money is being made from this market and I'm all for companies investing in life-saving treatments now let's hope they can actually make it work and not just sell it to pharmaceutical giants who won't care about the profits going back into research
I'm both stoked and skeptical about GSK's move into food allergy market . On one hand, it's awesome to see a pharma giant like GSK investing in treatments that could save countless lives . Ozureprubart (Ozu) has shown promise in reducing the severity of allergic reactions, which is super necessary considering how common food allergies are . But, on the other hand, $2.2 billion sounds like a lot of cash . Are we sure it's worth it? Will GSK be able to recoup its investment and make ozureprubart a commercial success? Only time (and clinical trial results) will tell . Still, I'm hopeful that this acquisition could lead to better treatment options for people with food allergies
