I think it's dope how del Toro & Isaac brought their Latin vibes to Frankenstein! They totally made Victor Frankenstein more relatable & human. The way they drew from their heritage was pure genius . Del Toro's insight on the patriarchal dynamics was so interesting , and Oscar's telenovela-inspired acting choices were a masterstroke . I love how this film celebrates Latin culture & explores themes of identity . Can't wait to see what del Toro does next
I love how these two creatives brought their own experiences as Latinx people into the film Guillermo del Toro and Oscar Isaac did an amazing job at making Victor Frankenstein's character feel like his own person, with a depth that I think resonated really well with audiences. The way they wove in elements of Mexican culture, like the family dynamics and emotional expressions, added this rich texture to the story οΈ It's also so cool to see how Oscar Isaac brought his own identity into the role, proving that you can play complex characters without being typecast Overall, I think this film is a beautiful representation of Latin culture on screen

I'm loving this adaptation of Frankenstein! Guillermo del Toro and Oscar Isaac are total genius and I love how their Latin heritage brought so much depth to the story . I mean, who wouldn't want to see a more nuanced Victor Frankenstein with a rich cultural background? The way del Toro wove together Mexican family dynamics and swarthy Catholicism is pure gold . And Oscar Isaac slaying as Victor is giving me LIFE!!! I'm so down for more films that celebrate Latin culture and identity
