Harris relaunches her old 'Kamala HQ' account as an online organizing project

Kamala Harris is Rebranding Her Online Presence as "Headquarters"

In a significant move, former US Vice President and 2024 Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris has relaunched her old social media account 'Kamala HQ' under a new name, simply "Headquarters". The revamped platform aims to become an online organizing project for next-generation campaigning, with over 1 million followers on X (formerly Twitter) and more than 5 million on TikTok.

In contrast to conservative efforts in building permanent organizing infrastructure, Harris' initiative seeks to create a different approach. According to a press release from the new group, "Headquarters is the end of that cycle." The organization now plans to post on various platforms including Substack, YouTube, and others.

Harris recently embarked on a second leg of her book tour for her best-selling memoir, focusing more on discussing what she believes needs to change next. Although she has stepped out of politics temporarily, Harris has left the door open to another presidential run.

The new project will be headed by Harris as chair emerita, with a group of advisers and operatives drawn from both her campaign alumni and People for the American Way. The posts on Headquarters will not have editorial oversight from Harris but rather from her team and People for the American Way.

I'm loving this new direction Kamala's taking 🀩. I mean, can you imagine a more perfect name than "Headquarters"? It's like she's saying "we're done with all that politics stuff" πŸ’β€β™€οΈ. I'm also intrigued by the no-editorial-overwatch approach - it'll be interesting to see how that plays out 😏. The fact that she's gonna post on all these different platforms is also super cool πŸ“š. It feels like a fresh start for her, and I'm here for it! πŸ‘

omg i just saw this news about Kamala's new online thingy πŸ€” and im like what is she even doing πŸ™„ so she's changing her name to "Headquarters" and posting on different platforms...i dont get why not just stick with one app? πŸ’» anyway, i guess its kinda cool that shes trying to be more inclusive and less about politics for a sec πŸ€— but i really wanna know what's next for her...is she actually gonna run for president again? πŸ€”

πŸ€” I think it's so cool that Kamala is shaking things up online, you feel? Like, she's not just slapping together some updated tweets or whatever - she's actually creating a whole new platform that's all about community building and sharing ideas. It's like, she's taking the energy of her followers and turning it into something more. And I love how she's embracing this non-traditional approach to politics, you know? Not everyone is gonna be on board with her methods, but I think it's super refreshing.

I also think it says a lot about Kamala as a person that she's not just content with just being an 'old' politician. She's still got fire in the belly and wants to make a difference in new ways. And who knows? Maybe this Headquarters thing is gonna be the start of something big! πŸš€ I mean, the fact that she's got such a strong online presence already is pretty impressive. Anyway, can't wait to see what comes next from Kamala and her team! πŸ’₯

omg i cant even lol 🀣 so Kamala's rebranding her online presence as 'Headquarters' now? that's like, super strategic tbh! i mean she's trying to create this whole new vibe, not just about campaigning but also about org'nzation and stuff. it's like, she's all 'we're done with politics' but still gonna stay relevant πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

anywayz, i think its kinda cool that she's branching out (pun intended) to other platforms like Substack & YouTube. its not just about X anymore! and the fact that she's leaving the door open for another presidential run is like, lowkey exciting? πŸ€” i mean, we all know she'd make a killer prez again πŸ˜‚

Im really loving this move by Kamala Harris πŸ€©πŸ‘! Thinkin about how some ppl might see it as an attempt to regain old power, but honestly, I think she's just tryna shake off that whole politics thing & focus on buildin a community that's all about changin the game, not just playin it. The way she's embracin new platforms like Substack & TikTok is super relatable, you know? It's like she's sayin 'screw traditional org stuff' and just wanna connect with people in real-time πŸ“±πŸ’¬. Plus, havin a group of advisers from her campaign & PFAW on board is a great way to keep it fresh & not feel too stale. I'm here for this new Headquarters project, hope it brings some much-needed energy to the online space πŸ’₯

I'm kinda mixed about this move from Kamala πŸ€”. On one hand, I think it's awesome that she's revamping her online presence to focus on more than just politics. It shows she's not done with using her platform to make a difference. Plus, having over 1 mil followers on X is no joke! πŸ’₯

But, at the same time, I worry about how this new project will shape up. With so many platforms to manage and without editorial oversight from Kamala herself, it feels like she's spreading herself too thin 🀯. And let's be real, with her history in politics, there's always gonna be drama surrounding her. I hope the team behind Headquarters can keep things grounded πŸ’ͺ.

🀝 I'm low-key hyped about Kamala's new move πŸŽ‰! She's finally taking control of her own online presence and creating a space that's all about amplifying the voices of young people who are ready to make a change 🌈. No more waiting for others to do it, she's stepping up and making her own path. I love how she's not just focusing on social media, but also building out this whole community-driven platform where people can share their ideas and come together around a common goal πŸ’‘. It's about time we saw some real leadership from our politicians online 😊! πŸš€
