Healey unveils legislation to keep ICE out of schools, churches, and more

I'm like totally stoked that Maura Healey is taking on ICE like this 🤩. I mean, can you imagine if they were around during the Civil Rights Movement? It'd be like, so unfair 😩. I feel like we're basically living in a scene from "The Breakfast Club" where the cops are like, "You can't just hang out here, dude!" 🚫

But seriously, it's about time someone stood up to these agents. They gotta stop making people scared for no reason, you know? Like, I'd be all like "Dude, I'm just trying to get my kid vaccinated" and then some ICE agent is all like "Oh, you're gonna come with us!" 🤯

I guess it's kinda cool that Healey is taking control of the situation though. Reminds me of when we had our first video game console back in '92 😆. We were like, totally in charge of our own gaming world! 💻

🤔 I'm all about layout and structure, but this whole ICE thing is kinda like throwing a bunch of design elements together without considering how they'll work together 📝. Like, I get it, you want to protect your residents from intimidation tactics, but banning warrantless arrests in courthouses might not address the root issue – the fear that people already have about being detained in the first place 😬.

And what's with all these executive orders? Can't we just have a clear, concise policy instead of a bunch of back-and-forth directives 📊? I mean, I get why Healey is trying to reassert control over ICE's activities, but it feels like we're just patching holes in the system without addressing the bigger picture 🚧.

Also, what about the logistical implications of deploying National Guard troops from other states? That's some serious bureaucratic red tape ⚙️. I'd love to see a more streamlined approach to this whole thing – maybe some design thinking involved 😊.

🤐 think its about time states step up their own game instead of letting feds do everything 🙅‍♂️ massachusetts taking steps to protect residents is a good start but idk how far itll go nationwide still feel like we need more federal action on thisICE presence stuff tho 😒

🤔 I'm all for this move from Governor Healey. ICE officers just don't belong in public spaces where people are supposed to feel safe. Schools, hospitals, churches... they're not prisons or detention centers! It's crazy that some people would even think it's okay for them to be wandering around, looking for anyone who looks 'suspicious'. 🚫 I can imagine how terrifying it must be to live in fear of being detained just because you're from a certain country. The fact that witnesses are being discouraged from coming forward is just unbelievable... what's next? Paying people to testify against each other? 🤑 Anyway, Massachusetts is taking a stand and I'm rooting for them! 👍
