Ugh, NYC is getting a bit too much winter wonderland, don't you think?
I mean, who thought it was a good idea to close all schools and public transportation for an entire day? It's like they're trying to give everyone a free pass to binge-watch Netflix and eat Cheetos. And let's be real, 8-12 inches of snow is nothing compared to what we get in the Midwest or Canada. I'm not saying I don't love a good snowy day, but come on!
And have you seen the flights getting canceled? Like, over 2,700 flights?! That's crazy! What's next, canceling all concerts and sporting events too? It's like they're preparing for some kind of zombie apocalypse.
But seriously, can't we just get a decent snow day every once in a while without it being a total disaster?
I'm not saying I hate winter or anything (okay, maybe a little), but I think the city could've handled this storm better. More prep work would've been nice. And what's with all the carbon monoxide poisoning concerns? Like, people should just have their furnaces and stuff checked regularly, no need for the authorities to get involved.
But hey, at least the Staten Island Ferry is running every hour, so that's something.
