Here are the 2025 cookbooks we recommend — and a couple that we don’t

🤔 I'm so over these cookbook reviews on the platform... they're always so formulaic 📚. Can't we get some real discussions going? I mean, what's with all these cookbooks being released at the same time? It feels like a floodgate has opened and now we've got 10 of them coming out every month 🤯. And don't even get me started on how long it takes to read through them... I'm still waiting for someone to review "The Joy of Cooking" or something 😂.

And have you noticed how all these cookbooks are just trying to be "relaxed" and "comforting"? Like, we're all just so tired of everything being so perfect and organized 💯. Can't they just let us mess up a bit? 🤷‍♀️ Anyway, I guess "Umma" sounds pretty interesting if you're into that sort of thing... Korean food is new to me, so I might have to check it out 🍜.

Cookbooks are just a way to make food look fancy on Instagram 📸. I mean, what's the point of spending 100 bucks on a book that's just gonna sit on your shelf? Don't get me wrong, recipes can be helpful, but do we really need another cookbook every month? It's just more clutter and stuff for us to sort through. And have you seen some of these recipe photos? They're just so... staged. Like, who cooks a meal like that from scratch? Give me a break 😂. I'll stick to my old cookbooks or even better, just wing it in the kitchen.
