Just saw that news ... I feel bad for Venus, she's still got a lot going on but 38 is ancient in tennis years, lol . Tatjana was on fire tho! You can tell the pressure of being a fan's mom added to her nerves, though . Poor girls were cheering for Maria while watching the match with their mom... I guess that's what happens when you're a pro athlete with kids who love your opponents

Can't believe what I'm seeing... 38 vs 45 and Tatjana still manages to take down the great one? I mean, don't get me wrong, Maria played a solid game, but come on, Venus is like a legend of tennis! Still, gotta respect that emotional factor at play - who wouldn't want to beat their own daughter's idol, am I right? Guess you could say Tatjana had some extra motivation on her side...

Ugh, what a bummer for Vee! I mean, I know she's still got some magic in her game, but that was just too much for her to handle. 6-4 and 6-3 is not exactly a walk in the park for anyone, let alone at 38 years young . And can we talk about how harsh it is on the players when their own kids are cheering against them? Poor Tatjana, I feel bad for her, but at the same time, I wish Vee had found a way to block out those distracting fans . Anyway, I hope she bounces back from this one and brings home that Australian Open title . Maybe they can even have a doubles match with Charlotte and Cecilia cheering for them? That would be awesome !

omg what a historic match!!! Tatjana Maria totally dominated the court but honestly i feel bad for her cuz she had to play in front of her daughters who are literally Venus' biggest fans I mean, that's gotta be super tough on her . And Williams is still a total legend 7 Grand Slam titles? no joke! anyway, it was dope to see such an emotional encounter , and Maria's valiant effort deserved some major props . can't wait for the Aussie Open though... will be rooting for Venus again
