Man
... it's crazy how fast the movie industry can turn around like that! I remember back in my day
, we used to go to the cinema every weekend without thinking twice about the cost of tickets or how much of a hit the movie was going to be. And now it feels like you need a blockbuster to even break even
... what happened to the good old days when you could just walk into a theater and have a blast? The horror genre, in particular, always thrived during Halloween
... but I guess that's not happening anymore
. I mean, $8 million for Black Phone 2 is like, what even is that?
Still, you've got to give it up for Taylor Swift's concert film, that was a wild ride
! Maybe the industry just needs some time to figure itself out again... but man, I miss the good old days of going to the movies without checking the box office numbers first
.
