How David Bowie superfans got invited to a secret listening party at a Philly studio

OMG ๐Ÿคฉ can you even imagine being 14 and writing a 5-page letter to your fave artist just to express how much they mean to you?! ๐Ÿ˜ Marla Kanevsky's dedication paid off in the best way possible, meeting David Bowie when she was all about that Ziggy Stardust life ๐Ÿ’–. And can we talk about how these Sigma Kids were so persistent and loyal? ๐Ÿ™Œ They basically became a part of Bowie's crew for real! ๐Ÿ‘ฏโ€โ™€๏ธ I mean, who wouldn't want to be part of an exclusive club where music brings you closer to your idols?! ๐ŸŽถ That's what it's all about, right? โค๏ธ

๐ŸŽธ๐Ÿ“š I think it's so cool how Marla Kanevsky got to meet David Bowie and be part of that special group of fans ๐Ÿคฉ. It's like, she was just a teenager, but she had this huge crush on him ๐Ÿ˜‚ and then she actually gets to meet him and listen to the album before anyone else ๐ŸŽต. I can imagine how epic it must have felt to be part of that exclusive club ๐Ÿ .

I think Bowie really understood what it means to be different and true to yourself, you know? Like, he didn't fit into any one box or genre ๐Ÿ“ฆ. And his fans were all about that too - they didn't care if other people didn't understand them, they just wanted to connect with the music ๐Ÿ’–.

Here's a little diagram of what I think happened:

+ David Bowie
/ \
+ Marla Kanevsky (and others)

+ Sigma Sound Studios

+ "Young Americans"

+ Epic fan experience ๐Ÿ˜†

anyway, it's just really beautiful to see how music can bring people together in such powerful ways โค๏ธ.

I'm loving this nostalgia trip ๐ŸŒƒ๐ŸŽธ... Marla's story is giving me all the feels ๐Ÿ’–. I mean, who wouldn't want to be part of the Sigma Kids crew? They're literally the ultimate fan squad ๐Ÿ‘ฏโ€โ™€๏ธ. It's crazy how music can bring people together like that. And Bowie was def a pioneer in making fans feel seen & heard ๐Ÿ™Œ. His legacy is still so inspiring today ๐Ÿ’ฅ
