I'm still trying to process what happened in Hong Kong . The whole situation just feels like such a tragedy . I know the government's all about phasing out bamboo scaffolding and construction netting, but it's easy to say that when you're not living in close quarters with people who are actually using them . Sometimes I feel like we're too quick to write off certain materials or practices without really understanding how they fit into everyday life.
I'm also super frustrated that the police were sealing windows from an unaffected building, it's just... why do that? The fire was devastating enough already, did they have to make it worse by making things more complicated? And what about the safety standards and regulations in Hong Kong, are we just too lax when it comes to enforcing them? I don't know, man... it's all just really confusing .
OMG is this really happenin in hong kong? like i thought they had beter safety measures in place what kinda construction material r they usin these days bamboo scaffolding? that sounds so sketchy i mean i know its old news but it's still crazy to think about all those ppl trapped and stuff. did they get any help from overseas? like america or somethin? also wut happened to the windows in that other building? wasnt that construction company responsible for that too?
my heart just went out to those poor families... how could they even prepare for something like this? scaffolding and construction netting are supposed to be safety measures not a death trap 200+ fire trucks and still hundreds of people missing, what about the families who lost loved ones? shouldn't we have had better standards in place? my kids would never survive in a situation like that... can you even imagine the panic on the top floors as people tried to get out
man this is so tragic , hundreds of people trapped in the rubble and still no idea what caused the fire, can't believe they're using bamboo scaffolding again, like, come on, they knew better after all that's happened... 200 fire trucks? that's crazy! firefighters risking their lives to get people out, it's just too much . safety standards in HK need a serious overhaul, this is not the first time we've seen this kind of disaster and it won't be the last if they don't take action. temporary shelters can only hold so many people, where are all these 900+ refugees supposed to go?
can u believe this?? like literally bamboo scaffolding and netting causing a fire that killed dozens & left hundreds missing! it's so bad that the gov actually phased out these super dangerous materials but ppl just didnt follow, guess what? now we're dealing with consequences . seriously though, all those ambulances & firefighters risking their lives for people stuck on top floors... poor guy who lost his life too it's like the gov needs to step up its game & make sure these construction materials r safer 4 real
