How the NYC nurses' strike is affecting patient care

🚑💉 this is crazy! like, i totally get that nurses need better pay and benefits, but 15k nurses just walk out on patients? that's some serious neglect 🤕. i'm so worried about those hospitals and emergency departments getting slammed with people. what if someone needs an op or something and the doc can't find them in time? 😟 temp nurses won't cut it, at least not for a while. we need to get this figured out ASAP so everyone gets the care they need 💊.

omg 🤯 this is so crazy! I'm totally feeling for these patients who are caught in the middle of it all 😩 hospital staff need to figure out a way to manage care ASAP 💡 like, temp nurses might not be enough... 6k+ are striking and it's gonna take time to get back up to speed 🕒️ and what about elderly folks or kids? they really need extra care 🤝 can't believe the strain on healthcare services in NYC 🚨

idk how much longer these hospitals can keep pretending like everything's gonna be fine lol 🤷‍♂️ they're already short-staffed with temp nurses and now what? patients are gonna suffer for this kinda strike nonsense... it's all about saving a buck, right? 💸 the fact that they've been planning ahead by rescheduling appointments doesn't change the fact that care is still being compromised 🤕 montefiore's advisory thingy just makes me wanna roll my eyes... meanwhile, nyc fire department's prepping for a minimal impact but let's be real, ambulances are gonna get super busy and somewhere's gotta give 😬 what's next? they're gonna start rationing oxygen or something? 🤔 this strike is all too convenient for hospitals to keep profits up at the expense of actual patient care 🚑
