To tap into the intelligence of AI chatbot ChatGPT for free, inside WhatsApp. Meta's popular messaging app now offers users a unique opportunity to interact with the AI without leaving their daily conversations unimpeded.
In order to start communicating with ChatGPT on WhatsApp, you'll need to add its contact number: +1-800-242-8478 (or 1-800-Chat-GPT) - an easily recognizable and memorizable number. You can find it by tapping the "+" button at the bottom right corner of your screen on Android devices or top right corner on iOS devices, then choosing "New Contact" to enter the ChatGPT phone number.
Please include a US country code at the start of the number to ensure that it's added correctly and don't forget to name your new contact - 'ChatGPT' is an obvious choice, but you can choose something else if that suits you better. You'll be able to tap on the ChatGPT label at the top of your conversation and then follow a link provided onscreen in order to connect your account.
Note that this doesn't necessarily mean that you'll get access to some more advanced AI features or capabilities, though, as you would by using the official apps. The basic functions like getting answers to your questions, creating summaries for text you give it, translating and tweaking text, helping with brainstorming, or coding can be done in WhatsApp.
But there is an exception - you will still have access to standard WhatsApp features while chatting with ChatGPT - just simply tap the camera icon and take a photo of something. You're able to ask questions about whatever subject is shown on that image, as well as accessing information from online sources like making headlines or sports scores more easily accessible.
In addition to this, the app allows you to generate images using text prompts as well. This feature enables users to describe what they want their image to show and in which style it should be created.

! Now we can basically have a mini chatbot assistant right in our messaging app. I mean, no more having to leave the conversation or switch apps just to get some info or help with writing. The fact that we can use it for all these basic functions like summarizing text, translating, and coding is super cool 
. And the image generation feature is straight out of sci-fi movie territory

i was a bit worried at first that we'd have to do some extra steps or download some other app but yay, it looks like all we need is the number
