Songwriters Hall of Fame Unveils 2026 Oscar-Nominated Songwriters in Virtual Conversation

The Songwriters Hall of Fame (SHOF) has kicked off its annual virtual event, "A Conversation With 2026 Oscar-Nominated Songwriters for Best Original Song," which is exclusively streaming on-demand through March 16. This year's event marks the 10th anniversary of the program, highlighting the talented songwriters behind this year's Academy Award-nominated songs.

Among the featured songwriters are Diane Warren, nominated for a record-breaking ninth consecutive time, and Nicolas Pike, who is making his debut with the aria "Sweet Dreams of Joy" from Viva Verdi!. Other notable songwriters include EJAE, Raphael Saadiq, Bryce Dessner, and legendary SHOF inductee Nile Rodgers.

During this virtual conversation, the panelists will delve into their creative processes, inspirations, and experiences writing for film and television. Warren will discuss her solo-written power ballad "Dear Me" from Diane Warren: Relentless, while Pike will share his insights on penning the aria "Sweet Dreams of Joy". EJAE will talk about co-writing the global K-pop smash "Golden" with Mark Sonnenblick, Joong Gyu Kwak, Yu Han Lee, Hee Dong Nam, Jeong Hoon Seo, and Teddy Park.

Raphael Saadiq will reflect on co-writing the blues number "I Lied to You" from Sinners, while Bryce Dessner will share his experience with the acoustic ballad title song from Train Dreams. The event is moderated by Nile Rodgers, SHOF chairman, and Paul Williams, a three-time Oscar nominee for best original song.
