I don’t think this bodes well for democracy at all. We need to make sure our leaders are holding people accountable and not just doing whatever they want without anyone checking them in.

It's like he thinks the President's power is limitless , which is a recipe for disaster. The fact that lawmakers weren't even informed until it was already happening 
is shocking. It undermines the entire system of checks and balances that's supposed to keep everyone in check .It's not just about Trump though - this sets a bad precedent for future presidents
. If no one holds them accountable, who will? The Democrats are right to call out Trump on this, but some Republicans need to speak up too 
. We need to make sure that Congress is still in the driver's seat, not just along for the ride
