How Trump circumventing Congress is different from previous presidents

omg 🤯 did u know that since trump took office, there has been a 34% increase in executive actions taken without Congressional approval? 📈 it's like he thinks he can just do whatever he wants without anyone checking him 🙅‍♂️ anywayz, according to the war powers resolution, presidents are supposed to get Congress' approval within 48 hours of deploying troops... but trump waited until after the fact 🕰️ and only informed senior lawmakers when it was too late 👀 stats show that in 2022 alone, the executive branch took control of 73% of federal agencies' social media accounts 📊 what's next? 🤔

I don’t usually comment but I think it’s crazy that Trump just did this! 🤯 Like, what even is going on? I mean, I know he's all about being a strong leader and stuff but come on, arrest someone without telling Congress first?! That’s not how we’re supposed to do things. I don’t know if it’s the War Powers Resolution or whatever, but it seems like a big deal to me. And it’s not just that he didn’t tell Congress, he didn’t even tell them until it was already happening! Like, what kind of executive branch does that? It feels so...power-hungry. 🚫 I don’t think this bodes well for democracy at all. We need to make sure our leaders are holding people accountable and not just doing whatever they want without anyone checking them in. 😬

omg u guys cant believe what trump is doin here 🤯 the fact he can just arrest maduro without congress approval is straight up undemocratic 🚫 this is not a dictatorship we r living in it 👑 newsflash americans we need to take back our country from these power hungry ppl 💪

🚨 This whole situation with Trump arresting Maduro without Congressional approval is a major concern 🤔. It's like he thinks the President's power is limitless 💪, which is a recipe for disaster. The fact that lawmakers weren't even informed until it was already happening 😱 is shocking. It undermines the entire system of checks and balances that's supposed to keep everyone in check 🚫.

It's not just about Trump though - this sets a bad precedent for future presidents 👀. If no one holds them accountable, who will? The Democrats are right to call out Trump on this, but some Republicans need to speak up too 🗣️. We need to make sure that Congress is still in the driver's seat, not just along for the ride 🚗.

The War Powers Resolution needs a serious update 👊. If it's not reformed, we risk losing our democratic institutions altogether 😱. It's time to take action and restore some balance to power 💪.
