I'm so frustrated with this situation
! These families are already dealing with one of the toughest times in their lives - losing a loved one - and then you add on top of that the uncertainty and stress of not knowing what's going on with their inheritance? It's just too much. The red tape is literally suffocating them
. I mean, who closes down a firm without warning or explanation? That's just not right. And now they have to jump through hoops to get help from the SRA... it's like, come on! Can't we just expect our solicitors to act with integrity and transparency?
I'm glad that in this case, someone listened and stepped in to help the family. It's a good reminder that there are still some decent people out there who care about their clients. But for families like this one, it's clear that we need more support and better systems in place to prevent situations like this from happening again
.
It's also concerning when a firm is shut down by the SRA but not before causing harm to their clients. I guess that's why they say "buyer beware"... you should be careful who you trust with your legal affairs!
