'I try not to get him started on politics!': power couples on rows, rules and who really does the housework

I'm not sure I agree with all this marriage advice... like, yeah, communication is key, duh! But what about when you're stuck together in a tiny apartment during quarantine? 🤣 Does that sound "healthy" to me? And what's up with taking surnames before marriage? Is that really something people need to consider? I mean, I've got friends who are married and they take each other's names, no problem. It's just one of those things you do, right? 🤷‍♀️

I'm not sure I fully agree with the whole "it's not about every day being perfect" thing 🤔. I mean, don't get me wrong, communication, respect, and trust are super important in any relationship. But what about when things actually do go wrong? Like, my aunt and uncle had a 20-year marriage that was basically perfect, but then they lost their husband to cancer... it totally messed them up 😔. It made them realize how much they took each other for granted. So while I get the whole "finding common ground" thing, I think it's also super important to acknowledge when things aren't going well and make an effort to fix them 💯.
