Ugh, this just shows how messed up the system is. Like, I'm all for keeping our streets safe, but come on, doing raids without warning? That's some 90s-style immigration drama right there 
. And what really gets my goat is the whole "we're ICE" thing - can't they at least put on a decent disguise? I mean, who needs a mask and an elevator to be intimidating? 
And don't even get me started on the mayor's comments about residents knowing their rights under federal law... like, isn't that just basic human knowledge or something?
Anyway, it's clear that our government is still really bad at handling this whole immigration thing. Maybe they should focus on building trust instead of just enforcing their will

. I feel like local officials are doing the right thing by speaking up and saying that their police can't help ICE without permission, but it's also kinda obvious that some people don't care about this stuff
