Ugh, what a complete disaster ! I mean, can you even believe this? So some dude's kid dies and he gets locked up because of some minor issue with his asylum case... like, hello, a kid just died, don't they care about that?! And now the parents are stuck in limbo, not knowing if they'll be able to attend their own child's funeral. It's just heartbreaking . And what really takes the cake is that ICE was like "no big deal, we didn't get any request for a permit"... like, who exactly do you think gets involved in these things?! The system is so messed up .

This is just so sad! I mean, can you even imagine being stuck in a detention center and not being able to say goodbye to your child before they pass away? It's like, what kind of system allows this to happen? Maher Tarabishi was literally Wael's everything - he took care of him 24/7, kept him alive when everyone else couldn't. And now his son is gone? It's just heartbreaking.

I'm not even going to get into the whole asylum thing, because that's a whole can of worms. But let's focus on the fact that this man was denied permission to attend his child's funeral, despite being the sole caregiver. I mean, what more proof do you need than that? this is soooo unfair maher tarabishi was literally the only one caring for his son wael and now he's being held back from attending his own son's funeral it's like, what more can they do to hurt him? his son died because of a rare disease, and now maher is being punished for not having the papers it just doesn't add up ICE needs to rethink their compassionate release process and also make sure these families get the support they need instead of being torn apart by bureaucracy we gotta do better

Family is everything .ICE, you really need to rethink your policies
