Idrissa Gueye red card: Joe Hart on Everton duo's clash against Man Utd

Former England goalkeeper Joe Hart has expressed his disappointment over Everton duo Idrissa Gueye and Michael Keane's clash during the team's 1-0 loss to Manchester United. The midfielder was sent off in the second half for his involvement in a confrontation with his teammate, who appeared frustrated after being substituted out of the game.

Hart, who is a guest on BBC Radio 5 Live's Monday Night Club, stated that "you don't want anyone fighting" and believes that a red card should have been given to Gueye. The 35-year-old goalkeeper suggested that if there were issues between players in the changing room at half-time, the team's manager, Frank Lampard, would likely address them.

"I'm disappointed about Gueye getting sent off," Hart said. "You don't want anyone fighting. It's a red card, and it's not just about the game that you're losing, it's about the integrity of the game."

πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ Red cards are meant for fighting, not just being frustrated πŸ™„. Gueye should've been sent off for his part in the fight 🚫. Lampard should've tackled the issue before it got physical ⚽️.

I feel for Joe Hart on this one 😐. If I'm reading between the lines, he thinks Gueye was outta order by lashing out at Keane after being subbed off πŸ€”. Yeah, a red card would've been fair play in that situation ⚽️. It's not just about losing the game, it's about showing some respect for your teammates and keeping your cool under pressure πŸ’ͺ. The fact that Gueye got sent off might give Lampard something to think about when making team selections 🀝. Can you imagine how hard it must be to keep your cool in that kind of situation? πŸ˜…

idk why ppl think its so bad 4 gueye 2 be a bit fiery lol he wasnt tryna hurt keane or anythin πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ i mean u gotta expect some tempers 2 flare up in a high press game but still, red card 4 that? seems harsh 2 me. lampard should probs address the drama in the changing room tho, cant have players carryin that stress on to the pitch πŸ€”

πŸ˜’ I mean come on, Gueye gets sent off for having a little disagreement with Keane? It's not like he was trying to hurt anyone 🀣. You gotta think about the bigger picture, mate... it's just one game, and if Lampard didn't notice the issue before, why would he care now? πŸ™„ I'm more worried about the state of football nowadays, where players are getting paid millions to throw tantrums on the pitch πŸ’Έ. Anyway, Gueye should've gotten a red card, no doubt about it πŸ”΄

😐 I think Gueye shoulda gotten a red 🚫 card tho πŸ€”, can't let the team drama spill over into the pitch 😬. If he was so frustrated, maybe Frank Lampard would've talked to him about it in the half-time break πŸ‘₯, rather than having him get sent off ⏰. And y'know what's worst? Losin' a good midfielder like Gueye πŸ€•, might make the team weaker next game πŸ’”πŸ˜ž.

man, joe hart is spot on here πŸ€” I mean, who wants to see players fighting on the pitch? it's so unprofessional. idrissa guyeye should've gotten a red card for sure 😬 i feel like lampard and the coaching staff need to step in and sort out whatever issues are going on behind closed doors before they start affecting the game. personally, i think guyeeye is a top player, but this kind of behavior just doesn't cut it πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈ

lol this is like the 3rd time now gueye gets sent off and it still doesn't seem to be affecting his gameplay lol anyway gotta ask what was he even talking about with keane in the first place πŸ€”πŸ˜‚ did they have a secret bromance or something? but seriously joe hart makes a good point, you can't just have players fighting like that on the pitch... that's not how football is played.

man, i feel like gueye got totally caught up in the heat of the moment 🀯... it's like, you're already down 1-0, do you really need to take things out on your own teammate? πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈ and yeah, frank lampard should've stepped in before it escalated like that... but at the same time, gueye knows what he did was wrong, so i'm not gonna sit here and say it's entirely lambard's fault πŸ˜• either way, it just goes to show how much pressure players are under, especially when things aren't going well for them on the pitch πŸ†... it's like, we need to find a way to manage all that stress and emotion, or else you'll end up losing yourself in the game πŸ’”

man this gueye incident is wild 🀯 i feel for frank lampard too, he's under enough pressure already but now this too? like if there was a problem in the changing room at half time, wouldn't that be something he'd wanna sort out? anyway, gotta say, gueye's reaction was pretty intense 😬 red card seems like the right call to me.

Ugh, I'm so done with these sports personalities who think they know everything πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ. Can't Joe Hart see that the whole thing was a bit exaggerated? It's one big misunderstanding and now Gueye gets sent off for it πŸ˜’. And what really grinds my gears is when experienced players like him suggest that the manager should've sorted it out in the changing room, as if that's always gonna happen πŸ™„. Newsflash, Joe: sports are a team sport, not just individual egos! Can't we just focus on improving our game rather than pointing fingers all day? πŸ€”

man I feel like this is a classic case of players taking out their frustrations on each other πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ. idrissa guyeye is always been one to speak his mind and i think he should've kept that in check, especially with the gaffer breathing down his neck all game πŸ’ͺ. frank lampard needs to sort this out ASAP, can't have players brawling like a bunch of school kids 🏫. hart's right though, a red card was coming anyway, but it's just sad to see it happen in the heat of the moment πŸ€•. we need to work on team unity before we start worrying about wins and losses πŸ’¬.

omg cant believe gueye lost his cool like that 😱 he knew he was in trouble when he started arguing with keane idk what was going on in that changing room but if there were issues why didnt lampard sort it out before the game i feel for hart though gotta agree with him a red card is deserved 🚫
