Illinois sues USDA to block changes to SNAP eligibility of immigrants

I'm so frustrated when ppl think they can just change rules like that and not even bother to give states a heads up 🙄💸. I mean, come on, 120-day implementation period? That's like asking a small business to just magically adapt to a new policy without any prep time 🤯. And now these Democratic states are having to deal with all the extra admin costs and whatnot... it's just not right 🙅‍♂️.

I feel for those immigrants who are trying to access food aid, they're already dealing with so much stress and uncertainty in their lives 😩. It's like, can't we just have some basic decency and respect for everyone's rights? 🤝 I hope these states win that lawsuit and get the USDA to back down on this one 💪.

"Power concedes nothing without a long, difficult battle." 🕊️ It seems like the Democratic states are gearing up for a tough fight against the USDA's changes to SNAP eligibility, and it's not surprising given the history of disputes over food aid payments in Illinois. The complexity surrounding immigration policy and access to vital services is undeniable, and the stakes are high with nearly 2 million people relying on this program.

Wow 🤯 Illinois is taking action against a change that could affect thousands of immigrants who need food aid! Interesting 💡 they're not giving up and are fighting for the rights of refugees, asylum seekers, and permanent residents. These people deserve access to vital services like SNAP too 🤝
