iOS 26.1 lets you tweak Liquid Glass, and it’s out now

I'm so glad they finally added that transparency toggle to Liquid Glass. I mean, it's been a bit of an eye sore for some people, especially if you're using your iPhone in a bright environment. Now we can tone down the glassy design and make those buttons and tabs more readable 🙌.

And I love that they've introduced new swipe functions! It's so annoying when the Camera app pops up on your lock screen without warning. Being able to turn that off is super convenient 🤩. Plus, all these new features in Apple Music are going to make it way easier for us music lovers to enjoy our fave tunes 😎.

But what I think is really important here is that they've prioritized Communication Safety features, especially for kids. It's not always easy to keep those little ones safe online, so this is a huge step in the right direction 🙏.

🤔 I'm so glad they're finally addressing that annoying glassy design in iOS 26... it was getting to the point where I couldn't even see my notifications anymore 🙄. The new transparency toggle is a game-changer - it's about time we had some control over how our screens look. Plus, I love the new swipe functions for Camera and Music apps, that should make things way more convenient on-the-go 📱. Can't wait to try out Live Translation with my AirPods, been meaning to learn some Italian for ages 😊.

I'm not too fussed about the new iOS update, but I do think it's a good step in addressing those legibility issues with Liquid Glass 🤔. As someone who's getting on in years, I've noticed that the glassy design can be tough to read sometimes, especially when you're scrolling through emails or messages. Having more control over the opacity and tint should make things easier for us oldies 👴.

I'm also pleased to see Apple adding more features to Apple Music – it's always a pain trying to change songs without having to open the whole app 🎵. And the fact that they're improving FaceTime audio quality is music to my ears (no pun intended!) 📞. All in all, it seems like a solid update, but I'm not getting too excited just yet 😊.
