Iran's footballers face battle to be heard as regime brutally clamps down on protests

man... its heartbreaking to see what's happening in iran right now 🤕 they're literally silencing ppl who just wanna express themselves. football is such a big deal for them but its being used as a tool by the regime to control people's minds and suppress dissent. i feel so bad for mehdi taremi and all the other players who have to live with this guilt, knowing their teammates are risking life & liberty back home 🤝

and its crazy how Carlos Queiroz is speaking out against the regime, its like a breath of fresh air 🌸 but u know what would be even better? if football unions around the world just stood up and said "enough is enough" to the oppression & human rights abuses in iran 🤝

I'm so worried about what's going on in Iran right now 😞. It's like they're using football as a way to control people and crush any form of dissent. I mean, imagine having to choose between your love for the game and speaking out against an unjust system 🤯. It's crazy that players are being forced to stay silent or face repercussions. But at the same time, I'm so proud of guys like Carlos Queiroz who are using their platform to speak out for human rights and freedom 💖. His quotes from Ahmad Shamlou are really powerful - it's clear he's not just a coach, but a voice for the people 🙌. The fact that Ghafouri is closing his cafes in solidarity with the protesters is also super inspiring 👏. We should all be supporting them in any way we can 🤝.
