It’s almost time for the Super Bowl. Here’s where to watch it in NYC.

Big Game Bashes: NYC's Best Spots to Catch the Super Bowl

As the countdown begins for this year's highly-anticipated Super Bowl showdown between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks, bars and restaurants across New York City are gearing up for a wild ride. The general consensus is that it's going to be a "very busy day" at Judy Z's Sports Tavern and Kitchen in the West Village, where patrons last year showed up by the dozens, leaving most standing due to a lack of seating.

For those who crave the ultimate sports-watching experience alongside fellow fans, there's nothing quite like watching the game at a bar. According to Candy Potts, general manager at Judy Z's, it's "more fun" than sitting on the couch with just two friends. The lively atmosphere and camaraderie are palpable, making for an unbeatable Super Bowl Sunday experience.

Of course, the real question is, which team will you be rooting for? For some, like Alec Horen from Bushwick, who claims the Seahawks deserve it after playing better this year, while others, like Brian Aranque Perez, a self-proclaimed Patriots fan, are only tuning in for the halftime show featuring Bad Bunny.

In any case, there's no shortage of fantastic spots to catch the big game. For those seeking an authentic Irish experience, Tara Rose in Murray Hill is the place to be, offering Sunday specials like half-priced margaritas and $6 pints of Guinness. Meanwhile, Hair of the Dog between the Lower East Side and East Village boasts 23 TVs, projectors, and a signature burger menu that's sure to satisfy.

Turtle Bay's Overlook pub rounds out the list with its vast array of HDTVs and Jumbotrons, ensuring every fan gets an unobstructed view of the game. Other standouts include Panzón in Greenpoint, which streams both the game and halftime show, as well as Keg & Lantern locations in North Brooklyn, offering seat reservations with a $50 minimum spend.

Last but not least, Brooklyn's own Public House is considered one of the best sports bars in the city, boasting an impressive beer menu and serving regional brews at just $7 for fans rooting for either Seattle or New England. And as an added bonus, bartender extraordinaire throws in a free shot with every drink.

Wherever you choose to catch the game, make sure to book your spot – Super Bowl Sunday is quickly becoming one of the best days to work, according to bartender Juliet Deane at Bearded Lady.

😂 ugh i dont get why ppl wanna sit in crowded bars on super bowl sunday its like trying to squeeze into a small toilet after a big meal 🚽. and $50 min spend? r u kiddin me? can't we just have one day where ppl can chill at home and watch the game without havin to break the bank 💸🏈

I'm thinking what's up with all these spots opening up for the Super Bowl? Like a year ago I was saying how crowded it gets at bars on big game days and now everyone's jumping on the bandwagon 🤯😂. Can't even get in without booking weeks ahead of time, it's like they're pricing out regular customers. Anyway, Public House is looking pretty solid with their beer menu, been there a few times for sports but also for happy hour when its $7 beers are on point 👍🏼

The lines for these sports bars are gonna be crazy 🚀👥. I mean, who needs personal space when you're cheering on your favorite team? I've seen some crazy pics from last year's Super Bowl party at Judy Z's... ppl literally standing outside the bar waiting to get in 🤣. Anyways, Tara Rose sounds like a solid spot for an authentic Irish experience - half-priced margaritas and Guinness are always a winner for me 🍻👌

omg u gotta try the one in turtle bay their tvs r huge i was there last year and it was so lit they had live music before the game too 🎶🏈 and have u considered getting a table res at keg & lantern its 50 bucks minimum but wth who doesnt love a good burger n beer combo 🍔🍺

omg u gotta try Tara Rose in Murray Hill!!! they got half-priced margaritas and $6 pints of Guinness lol idk which team im rooting for yet but i know ill be there with my squad sipping on those drinks 🍺🏈 super bowl sunday is literally gonna be lit this year!!

Ugh, I remember when watching sports on TV was way more chill back in the day 📺👀. Nowadays it's all about screaming matches and overpriced drinks. And don't even get me started on the lines for the bathroom at those crowded bars... last year I waited like 20 minutes just to use the restroom at that one sports bar in SoHo 😷. And what's up with all these spots offering special deals? Back in '09, we just ordered a few beers and watched the game without breaking the bank 🍺👌. Not to mention, most of these bars are still super loud, I mean I'm not asking for complete silence, but can't they find a way to get the music volume down a notch or two?

the super bowl is gonna be lit lol like who's gonna win the championship and will they both make it into the playoffs? anyhoo gotta try out that public house in brooklyn for a beer and watch the game i heard their burgers are on point 👍 meanwhile, judging by the crowds, judy z's must have the best seating or no one would go there lol guess who's gonna sit at which table tho 🤔

🏈😂 I think NYC's best spots are gonna be hella crowded this year... but honestly, who needs a seat when you're surrounded by thousands of screaming fans, right? 😄 It's all about the energy and vibes 🎉! And omg, Bad Bunny is gonna bring the house down during halftime 🎶. I'm more excited for the food than the game tbh - half-priced margaritas and a $6 pint of Guinness? Yes, please! 🍺👍 Also, it's not just about which team you're rooting for, it's about the experience with friends and fellow fans... and some people might even forget who won after all that cheering 🤣.

I'm soooo not a fan of this whole Super Bowl hype 🙄 it's just another excuse for people to gather in crowded bars and restaurants, hoping to catch a glimpse of the game on some giant screen. I mean, who needs that kind of chaos? And don't even get me started on the commercial breaks – 30 minutes of ads just to watch more football? No thanks 📺

And can we talk about how overpriced everything is going to be? $7 for a beer at Public House? Please, I can get that same beer at my favorite spot in the city for like half the price 💸

Plus, have you seen the lines already? People are gonna be stuck standing for hours just to grab a table, and what's the fun in that? Can't we all just stay home and watch it on our own couches like normal people? 🏠

omg, have you ever noticed how much more fun the super bowl is when u watch it with a bunch of strangers who are all cheering for the same team as u? like, u can't really vibe with someone who's watching the game and rooting for the other team... but when everyone's on the same page, that's when the magic happens! 😊 i went to this one spot in brooklyn last year and it was literally the most epic experience ever - they had like 10 huge screens and a massive crowd of people all wearing seahawks jerseys, it was such a rush! 🏈👕

I'm thinking what's crazy is how many places are offering special deals and reservations for this thing... like, I get it, everyone wants to watch the game with friends, but isn't it just going to be a madhouse everywhere? 🤯 And don't even get me started on the lines for those popular spots... I remember when I was younger, we'd just gather around the TV at home and enjoy the game without all the fuss. Nowadays, it's like everyone needs a ticket to get in on the action! 😂

🤩 super bowl sunday is literally the most chaotic day ever! i mean, bars and restaurants are hella busy and it's gonna be a mad dash for seats 🏈🍺 but on the flip side, there's nothing quite like sippin' on a drink with fellow fans cheering on their favorite team 🤝 some of my fave spots to catch the game include hair of the dog in the lower east side and turtle bay's overlook in brooklyn - they've got heaps of TVs and projectors so you won't miss a beat 📺 and hey, if you're feelin' fancy, there's always tara rose in murray hill for that authentic irish vibe 🍺👍

omg u guys i just got back from a bae's birthday party and we watched the super bowl on his 40 inch tv lol it was so much fun!! anyway back to this article i think its kinda crazy how people are already debating which team is gonna win idk bout me im just here for the commercials 🍺🏈

omg u gotta be prepared for the chaos 😂 super bowl sunday is gonna be wild!! i mean i'm not even a huge sports fan but my friends always drag me to watch it and honestly it's so much fun 🎉 bars and restaurants are always crazy on game day and you can feel the energy in the air 💥 and omg $7 beers at Public House is a total steal 🤩 anyone got a spot lined up yet? 🤔
