It’s almost time for the Super Bowl. Here’s where to watch it in NYC.

New Yorkers Gear Up for Big Game Day

As the stage is set for the highly anticipated Super Bowl matchup between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks, bars and restaurants throughout New York City are bracing themselves for a busy Sunday. According to Candy Potts, general manager at Judy Z's Sports Tavern and Kitchen in the West Village, the bar and kitchen will be well-stocked to accommodate the anticipated crowds.

"It's going to be a very busy day," she said, recalling last year's event when so many fans showed up that there weren't enough seats. Watching the game at a bar alongside fellow enthusiasts, however, Potts noted, is an entirely different experience than watching from home.

"There's the friendliness you don't always get everywhere in New York City – it's just more fun," she said. Many patrons share her sentiment, with some fans eagerly anticipating the matchup while others are less enthusiastic about their teams' chances.

For example, Alec Horen, a Seahawks fan from Bushwick, believes his team deserved a spot in the big game and pointed to what he saw as an easy schedule for the Patriots. Another server at Bearded Lady in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, is also rooting for the underdogs.

Juliet Deane noted that working on Super Bowl Sunday has its perks, including regular customers who are always friendly and in good spirits. The bar will be playing both games simultaneously, which she believes helps to diffuse any potential tension.

For fans not rooting for either team, there's plenty of other reasons to tune in – particularly the highly-anticipated halftime show headlined by Bad Bunny. Brian Aranque Perez, a Patriots fan with mixed feelings about his team's chances, is looking forward to the show as much as the game itself.

If you're planning on joining the crowds this Sunday, here are some top spots to catch the action:

Tara Rose: This popular Irish pub in Murray Hill offers half-priced margaritas and $6 pints of Guinness for a fun pre-game experience. Don't forget to grab an Irish spice bag when you need a pick-me-up during the game.

Hair of the Dog: With 23 TVs and projectors, this Lower East Side sports bar is ready to host large groups. Pair that with their signature burgers and happy hour specials, and it's sure to be a winner.

Overlook: Turtle Bay's Overlook pub has everything on its menu – from wings to loaded nachos – along with more than 30 HDTVs and two massive Jumbotrons. Don't worry about getting a seat; just enjoy the game!

Panzón: Greenpoint's Panzón is another spot that will stream both games, including the halftime show. Don't forget their all-day-long happy hour specials and endless wings to snack on.

Keg & Lantern: Two locations in North Brooklyn are offering seat reservations with a $50 minimum spend and pre-ordering chicken wing trays for those who can't get into the action at either venue.

Brooklyn Public House: This vintage-inspired sports bar boasts an impressive beer menu, including regional brews and special deals for both Seattle and New England fans.

I'm low-key hyped for the Super Bowl this year 🤩🏈. I love how NYC bars are always so ready to party on game days! The halftime show is gonna be lit 🔥 with Bad Bunny performing, and the energy in the bars is gonna be electric ⚡️. If you're planning on heading out, make sure to grab a spot at Hair of the Dog or Overlook – they seem like the places to be 📺🍺. I'm rooting for the underdogs this time around, maybe Seattle will surprise everyone 🤞.

🏈 Super Bowl Sunday in NYC is always a wild ride 🎉. I've seen my fair share of crowded bars and restaurants on game days back in the day. You know, people would gather 'round the TV, cheering on their teams, having a blast... it was truly special. But nowadays, with all the advancements in technology, you can catch the game from home too 📺. Still, I think there's something to be said for watching it with friends and strangers alike, sharing in the excitement and energy of the moment 💬.

And let's not forget about the halftime show! Bad Bunny is going to bring the house down 🎵. But honestly, what really gets me is the sense of community that comes with these big events 🤝. People from all walks of life come together, putting aside their differences and just enjoying the moment. It's a reminder that sports can bring us all together in ways that few other things can 💖.

As for my own Super Bowl Sunday plans? Ah, I'll be staying cozy at home with some good food and drink 🍿👌. Give me the quiet comfort of my own space any day! 😉

I'm so stoked it's that time of year again! Super Bowl Sunday is like a national holiday in the States 🏈🎉 You gotta love how everyone comes together to cheer on their favorite teams (or just hang out with friends, no judgment). I've been going to bars and restaurants for years to watch the big game, and it's always a blast. People are so friendly and hyped up when the game is on – it's like a whole different vibe in NYC that day 💥. My fave spot is definitely one of those over-the-top sports bars with all the screens and snacks galore 🍕👌. It's gonna be such a fun day, I'm hoping to catch some wings and cheers at my usual spot!

omg u guys gotta go to any of these spots on super bowl sunday! bars in nyc r always lit 🎉🍺 but this year is gonna be EXTRA 🤩 seahawks & patriots are gonna duke it out & it's def gonna be a wild ride 🏈 meanwhile, bad bunny's halftime show is gonna BLOW.UP 💥 can't wait to join the crowds and cheer on my favorite team (if i had one lol) but honestly, being around all those sports fans sounds like so much fun 🤝 gotta try out that irish spice bag at tara rose too 🍀💚

Its gonna be a wild ride in NYC on Super Bowl Sunday 🤯🏈 bars and restaurants are prepping for the crowds, but imo its also super interesting to see how people come together to watch the game, even if they're not huge football fans 👥 like at Judy Zs Sports Tavern and Kitchen where people are chatting it up alongside fellow enthusiasts 🍺. some spots are even playing both games simultaneously which helps diffuse any potential tension 😌. but what im really looking forward to is that halftime show headlined by Bad Bunny 🎉 its gonna be lit!

Sunday Funday in the city 🏈🍺

Got to say, I'm loving how everyone's coming together to watch the game. You can feel the excitement in the air. I've been thinking, it's not just about winning or losing, it's about the experience, you know? Sharing a cold one with friends, cheering on your team... 🍺👫

And yeah, some bars and restaurants really go above and beyond to make Super Bowl Sunday special. I mean, half-priced margaritas and $6 pints of Guinness are always a win in my book! 😊

🏈👍 Super Bowl Sunday is comin' thru NYC like a force to be reckoned with 🤯 I mean, who doesn't love watchin' the big game with friends over some good grub and drinks? The teams might not have been my faves last year, but there's always that one halftime show that gets me hyped 🎶 Bad Bunny is killin' it this time around.

Tara Rose in Murray Hill looks like a solid spot to get the party started - half-priced margaritas and $6 pints of Guinness? Sign me up 🍹. And if you're feelin' fancy, Overlook has all-day-long happy hour specials and endless wings to snack on 🤩.

Hair of the Dog in Lower East Side is also a solid choice for watchin' the game with big groups - 23 TVs and projectors? Yes, please! And Panzón's got that live stream action goin' on too. Plus, their all-day happy hour specials are a bonus 🎉.

I'm thinkin' of headin' to Keg & Lantern in North Brooklyn for some seat reservations with my squad - $50 minimum spend and pre-ordering chicken wing trays? Sold!

I'm gonna say it, but if I had to pick a team to watch, I'd be rooting for whoever has the best halftime show 🤩. Bad Bunny's gonna bring the heat! Meanwhile, watching a game at one of these spots is like no other experience - there's that NYC friendly vibe 💕, and you get to cheer with people who are all about it (even if they're not your team 😉). But honestly, I'm just here for the wings 🍗👌.

🏈👍 it's gonna be lit on sunday 🤩 bars and restaurants in nyc are gettin ready for a crazy busy day 📣 but for once it's not all about the teams 🤔 it's about the vibes too 👫 everyone's gonna be sippin on drinks, munchin on wings, and cheerin' on their faves 😂 plus bad bunny is comin to perform 🎤 can't wait to catch some of that halftime show energy 💃🏽🕺

You know what's wild? Back in my day, we didn't have all these fancy bars and restaurants catering to the Super Bowl crowd 🤯. We'd just grab some wings at our favorite spot or make a big game-day spread with friends and family at home 🍔🏈. But I gotta say, it sounds like New York City is getting ready for a wild ride on Sunday 💥! The fact that bars are offering special deals and happy hour specials for both teams is just cool 👌. And that halftime show headlined by Bad Bunny? Yessss, get me there! 🎉

im thinkin that watchin a game with friends is way more fun than watchin it alone 🤩, like u get to share the highs and lows and stuff, but also can be super tense when ur team is doin bad 😬, anyway, i heard panzon in greenpoint has an epic happy hour menu, gotta try that out this sunday 🍻👌

😊 I'm thinking the key to a smooth Big Game Day in NYC is having that perfect balance of food and drinks... you know, so people don't get too hangry or thirsty during the game! 🍕🍺 Like, I mean, you gotta have those spicy wings and nachos ready to go, plus cold beers and margaritas for when your team starts winning... just saying. 😂 And can we talk about how fun it is to watch the game with fellow fans? It's like one big happy party! 🎉👫 The Seahawks fan I talked to earlier was so hyped because he thought his team had it in the bag, while the Patriots fan was all about the halftime show. Either way, it's gonna be a wild ride... are you ready for some football?! 🏈

omg i'm so down for big game day this year 🏈👍 my squad and i are planning on heading to Hair of the Dog in the Lower East Side they have that crazy good happy hour and like 23 TVs or something it's gonna be lit 💥 but i feel bad for all those servers who gotta work on super bowl sunday, right? juliet deane from bearded lady sounds like a total sweetheart 🤗 hope everyone has an amazing time watching the game and halftime show

OMG, it's going to be a total game day frenzy in NYC! 🏈🔥 I mean, who doesn't love a good excuse to grab friends, food, and drinks together? 😄 The energy at these sports bars is always electric! 💥 Judy Z's Sports Tavern and Kitchen sounds like the perfect spot to watch with fellow fans - all that friendly chatter & camaraderie = #GameDayVibes 🎉 Bearded Lady's serving up underdog spirit is everything, I love it! 😊 Bad Bunny's halftime show better be lit, am I right?! 🔥 Can't wait to see which team comes out on top (or if the underdogs steal the win) #SuperBowlSunday #GameDayPredictions 🤔

Umm i wonder what it's like to watch a big game with thousands of other people its probably super fun but also kinda crazy 🤯 bars in nyc are gonna be poppin on sunday lol some ppl r really hyped about the patriots while others cant wait for the seahawks to win 🏈 its cool that places r doin happy hour deals tho like who doesnt love a good deal on wings and beer ⚡️ i wanna try out some of these spots but maybe ill just watch from home lol my fave is gonna be bad bunny's halftime show 😴
