Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua: Is the crossover contest dangerous or daring? | 'I fear for him'

Former boxing world champion and Olympic medallist Richie Woodhall has warned that the upcoming crossover contest between Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua could be "dangerous". The fight, scheduled for December 19, will see the heavyweight champion of the world take on the YouTuber-turned-prizefighter in an eight-round bout.

Woodhall believes that Joshua's class, experience, and sheer size give him a significant advantage over Paul. In contrast, Paul has only had 13 professional fights, with all but one ending in victory, but he has never fought a heavyweight in his prime. The weight limit for the fight is set at 245lbs, which Woodhall expects to make Joshua take the bout more seriously and get into shape.

"I think it's a really dangerous contest," Woodhall said. "I don't care how much money is involved, you can be seriously hurt in boxing. If AJ connects with the right hand that we know he can do, he'll land in the next universe, Jake Paul will, it's quite simple."

Woodhall has had first-hand experience of Joshua's punching power, having done rounds of padwork with him as a coach on the GB squad. He believes that Joshua is still a formidable heavyweight champion and that his right hand is particularly devastating.

"I would say that Daniel Dubois had the hardest jab I've ever felt on the programme, but right hand-wise it was AJ," Woodhall said. "If he connects with that...I know it's only an eight rounder but eight rounds is a long time."

Not everyone shares Woodhall's concerns, however. British heavyweight David Adeleye has trained with Paul and believes that he should not be underestimated.

"I've got to give Jake his credit though," Adeleye said. "A lot of people don't give Jake his credit for even choosing this fight." Adeleye agrees that the fight will be interesting but thinks that it will also be a good test for Paul.

"We're all obviously going to be tuning in," Adeleye added. "It's going to be interesting...If there's another YouTuber that's a heavyweight that needs a dance partner, just call me."

The upcoming fight has been generating significant interest and debate among boxing fans and pundits alike. While some see it as an exhibition match, others believe that Paul is taking a risk by stepping into the ring with one of the best heavyweights in the world.

As for Joshua, he will be looking to prove his doubters wrong and show that he can dominate a less experienced opponent. The fight promises to be an intriguing clash between two different styles of boxing, with only time telling who will emerge victorious.

omg what if jake paul loses ๐Ÿ˜‚ i feel bad for him tho, richie woodhall makes some good points about aj's punching power... but have you guys seen aj's face in his promos? ๐Ÿคฃ like he's so intense all the time, it's kinda scary. and david adeleye is right, jake needs to get respect from boxing fans... but at the same time, who wouldn't wanna watch aj vs paul? ๐Ÿ˜

I gotta say, I'm low-key excited about this one! ๐Ÿ˜… It's always dope to see big names like AJ and Jake Paul go at it in the ring. But for real, Richie Woodhall's concerns are valid - if AJ connects with that right hand, it's game over for Jake ๐Ÿคฏ. I've seen some of AJ's highlights, and dude is a beast!

As for David Adeleye's take on Jake Paul, I gotchu, mate! ๐Ÿ˜Ž It's cool to see someone giving him props for taking the risk. And who knows, maybe this fight will be more than just an exhibition match? We might actually get to see some real action!

One thing that's got me thinking, though... what's going through Jake Paul's head right now? ๐Ÿค” Is he in this to win it, or is he just trying to prove a point? Either way, I'm hyped for the drama and excitement that's about to go down! ๐Ÿ’ฅ

OMG, I'm so down for this fight ๐ŸฅŠ!!! Richie Woodhall's warnings are valid though... AJ is a beast and his right hand is terrifying ๐Ÿ˜ฑ. It'll be crazy to see Paul step into the ring with someone of Joshua's caliber. But at the same time, I love how confident Jake is about taking on this challenge ๐Ÿ’ช. And David Adeleye's comments about Paul being underrated are SO true ๐Ÿคฉ. The thing that gets me most excited is the hype around this fight - it's going to be EPIC! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ’ฅ Can't wait for Dec 19th and to see who comes out on top... fingers crossed for an exciting fight ๐Ÿ˜„

๐Ÿค• this is gonna end badly ๐Ÿšจ i mean think about it jake paul has 13 pro fights and aj's got experience comin outta his pores ๐Ÿ™Œ woodhall's right tho aj's power's crazy he could knock paul out cold ๐Ÿ˜ฑ and paul's still gonna try to do some of that youtube flair which is just askin for trouble ๐Ÿ˜‚ adeleye thinks paul's got game but i think aj's just gonna be too much for him ๐Ÿคฏ

๐Ÿค” this is gonna be sick... but also kinda scary ๐Ÿ˜ฌ joshua's got the skillz & size on paul's side, and woodhall knows what he's talking about ๐Ÿ™ paul's gotta bring his A-game if he wants to take down the champ ๐Ÿ’ช

๐Ÿค” I gotta say, this fight is gonna be super intense! ๐ŸฅŠ Richie Woodhall's concerns are totally valid, though... Jake Paul might not know what hit him ๐Ÿ’ฅ Anthony Joshua's got some serious power and experience on his side ๐Ÿ™Œ It's like, yeah, Paul's got 13 pro fights under his belt, but Josh has been doing this for years ๐Ÿ‹๏ธโ€โ™‚๏ธ I love how David Adeleye's keeping it real and giving Jake credit for taking on the big fight though ๐Ÿ‘Š

omg this is gonna be a wild ride ๐Ÿคฏ i gotta say though richie woodhall makes some good points about anthony joshua's class and experience vs jake pauls youth and inexperience. paul has never fought anyone of joshua's caliber before, so it's def worth keeping an eye on how he handles the pressure ๐Ÿ”ฅ if joshua can just land that right hand...game over ๐Ÿ˜… david adeleye is being super positive about paul though, but i think we need to be real here - this guy has only had 13 pro fights lol what are the chances of him taking down joshua ๐Ÿค”

Wow ๐Ÿคฏ this is gonna be crazy! Paul's gotta be worried about getting knocked out lol Joshua's power is insane ๐Ÿ˜ฒ and Woodhall knows what he's talking about. He's had hands on experience and knows AJ's style ๐Ÿ’ช but at the same time, Paul's got the advantage of being younger and faster ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ. It's gonna be a wild ride!

I dont get why Jake Paul even wanna do this lol...he's never fought a real pro before. Richie Woodhall makes some good points tho, Joshua is way bigger and stronger ๐Ÿคฏ aj's right hand is like whoa. And idk if paul can even take a punch ๐Ÿ˜‚ i mean david adeleye says he should get credit for choosing the fight tho? idk man...i just wanna see what happens tbh!

I'm kinda divided about this fight ๐Ÿค”. On one hand, it's Jake Paul taking on the heavyweight champion of the world which is wild ๐Ÿคฏ. I mean, we've seen YouTubers do crazy stuff before but stepping into a real boxing ring with a fighter who's got 20+ years of experience? That's a big risk for Paul ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ.

On the other hand, AJ has been out of the spotlight for a while and this could be a great way to get him back in the game ๐Ÿ’ช. And let's be real, Woodhall makes some valid points about Joshua's punching power ๐Ÿ˜ฌ. I don't think Paul stands a chance but at the same time, he's got nothing to lose ๐Ÿค”.

I'm curious to see how it all plays out though ๐ŸŽฅ. Will we get a dominant win from AJ or will Paul pull off an upset? Only time will tell โฐ. One thing's for sure though, it's gonna be entertaining to watch ๐Ÿ˜‚.

I'm low-key excited about this fight ๐Ÿ˜Ž I mean, we all know AJ is the heavyweight champ for a reason ๐Ÿ™Œ He's got experience and power on his side, which makes him the favorite to win. But let's not sleep on Jake Paul ๐Ÿคฏ He's taken on some tough opponents in the past and has proven himself to be a formidable boxer in his own right ๐Ÿ’ช The weight limit is gonna make AJ take it more seriously, so we might see a more determined fighter out there ๐Ÿ”ฅ It's definitely gonna be an interesting clash between styles - AJ's jab vs Paul's aggression ๐Ÿค” Who knows what's gonna happen? Either way, I'm hyped to watch the fight ๐Ÿ“บ

Man I'm lowkey excited about this fight ๐Ÿค” but also worried for Jake Paul's safety lol. Richie Woodhall makes some valid points, AJ is a beast in the ring and that right hand of his is nasty ๐Ÿ˜ฌ. But at the same time, Paul has been training hard and he's got nothing to lose ๐Ÿ’ช. It'll be interesting to see how Paul handles the pressure of fighting against someone like Joshua who's been doing this for years ๐Ÿ•’๏ธ. I'm gonna be tuning in to watch it, hoping that Paul comes out on top and proves everyone wrong ๐Ÿ˜…

I'm still thinking about what Richie Woodhall said about Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua ๐Ÿค”. I mean, Paul's got some experience under his belt but he's never fought a top-level heavyweight like AJ before. Woodhall knows AJ's power from doing padwork with him and it's scary to think about Paul getting caught by that right hand ๐Ÿ’ฅ. But at the same time, Adeleye's point is valid too - Paul has been making a big name for himself and this fight could be a good test for him ๐Ÿ“ˆ. I'm still not sure if AJ will take this one seriously or just look at it as a cash-in match...but I do know one thing - whoever wins, it'll be an entertaining fight โšก๏ธ

๐Ÿค” This fight is getting more attention every day and I'm starting to think it's just gonna be a circus ๐ŸŽช. Richie Woodhall's warning about the danger of the fight is valid tho, AJ has a mean right hand ๐Ÿ’ฅ. But on the other hand, Paul has been putting in the work and has a solid game plan. The weight limit might even help him out since he's used to fighting at 215lbs. David Adeleye thinks Paul deserves some credit for taking on Joshua, and I agree ๐Ÿค. It's gonna be a fun fight to watch, but let's not forget that AJ is the one with the experience and size advantage โš–๏ธ. Can't wait for Dec 19th though! ๐ŸŽ‰

idk why paul is even doin this lol ๐Ÿ˜‚ he's got no pro experience under his belt, woodhall's words make so much sense tho ๐Ÿ’ก aj would annihilate him in like 2-3 rounds, paul's speed might allow him to keep up for a bit but once aj lands that big right hand... game over ๐ŸฅŠ AJ's been training for months and is in top shape, he's not gonna let this be a joke ๐Ÿ˜Ž paul's gotta be worried about gettin caught with that devastating punch ๐Ÿ‘Š

I gotta say, I'm both excited and skeptical about this Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua crossover contest ๐Ÿค”. On one hand, AJ is a proven heavyweight champ with a ton of experience, so it's hard to argue against his chances ๐Ÿ’ช. But on the other hand, we've seen plenty of boxers underestimate opponents like Paul before, thinking they can just waltz in and take someone's title ๐Ÿ’….

I mean, Paul has only had 13 pro fights, which is crazy considering Joshua has been doing this for years ๐Ÿ”ฅ. And yeah, AJ's right hand is a beast ๐Ÿคฏ. I love how Woodhall's warning us that it could be "dangerous" โ€“ gotta respect the old-school boxing guy's concern ๐Ÿ˜ฌ.

But at the same time, I think Paul's got some serious skills and has been doing weirdly well for himself in the ring ๐Ÿคช. I'm not gonna lie, I'm a bit curious to see how this all plays out ๐Ÿ”ฎ. Can't wait to tune in on Dec 19th! ๐Ÿ‘€

Imagine a triangle with one side being Jake Paul (13 fights) and the other side being Anthony Joshua ( huge experience & size ) ... ๐Ÿ˜ฌ
The weight limit is set at 245lbs which might make AJ take it more seriously ๐Ÿ‹๏ธโ€โ™‚๏ธ
Woodhall's warning is like, "Hey AJ be careful because Paul has a right hook that can knock you out" ๐Ÿ‘Š
But Adeleye thinks Paul should get respect for choosing this fight and it will be good test for him ๐Ÿค”
This fight has everyone talking & some people think it's an exhibition match ๐Ÿ˜‚

I'm getting hyped for this fight lol ๐ŸฅŠ๐Ÿ‘Š. Woodhall's concerns are valid tho, AJ's size and experience give him a massive edge over Paul. I mean, we've seen what happens when Paul steps into the ring with fighters way out of his league, it doesn't end well ๐Ÿ˜ฌ. On the other hand, if Paul can keep this up, who knows? He might be able to pull off the upset.

I'm also curious to see how AJ prepares for this fight. Woodhall's right, he'll need to get in shape ASAP, or else he might find himself on the receiving end of a brutal beating ๐Ÿ˜จ. As for Paul, I think he needs to focus more on defense rather than just throwing wild punches. If he can make it through the first few rounds without getting knocked out, then maybe he's got a chance ๐Ÿคž.

It's gonna be an interesting clash between style and experience, let's see who comes out on top ๐Ÿ‘Š

๐Ÿค” this fight is gonna be wild i mean joshua's power is not something to joke about he's been there done that and has the medals to prove it but at the same time paul's got heart and if he can take a punch and keep coming you never know what might happen ๐ŸฅŠit's like my mate said why choose this fight? does anyone else wanna see joshua get smashed by some youtuber lol seriously though tho woodhall makes some solid points about joshua's advantage but we'll just have to wait and see how it all plays out ๐Ÿ’ช
