JetBlue to start offering nonstop flights from Philly to Puerto Rico in the spring

JetBlue to Launch Daily Nonstop Flights from Philadelphia to Puerto Rico

Starting March 26, JetBlue will begin offering daily nonstop flights between the Philadelphia International Airport and San Juan's Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport. This new route marks an expansion of direct service to five cities in Puerto Rico for the airline, including Philadelphia.

The added route increases the number of nonstop destinations out of San Juan to 22, surpassing any other airline. As part of this growth, JetBlue will also launch direct flights from San Juan to Buffalo, Richmond, Norfolk, and Jacksonville in the spring. These routes are expected to further boost travel between Puerto Rico and the US mainland.

According to Jenniffer González-Colón, Governor of Puerto Rico, "The expansion of these routes opens the door for more travelers from the United States to discover the richness and charm of our Island, while providing Puerto Ricans with more options to visit, reconnect with their loved ones, and contribute to our local economy." The airline's efforts aim to promote economic development and increase visibility for the island.

While JetBlue is not the only carrier offering nonstop flights from Philadelphia to San Juan, it marks a significant growth for the airline in Puerto Rico. Frontier and Spirit already operate direct flights out of Philadelphia International Airport, while American Airlines also offers this route.

JetBlue has introduced limited-time discounted fares to celebrate the launch of these new routes. Philadelphia travelers who book tickets by Friday can secure one-way flights departing on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Saturdays between April 7 and May 20 for as low as $99. However, it's essential to note that airfare is subject to certain stipulations.

idk why ppl r so excited about this new flight route tho 🤔🛬... like, philly to puerto rico ain't exactly the most popular combo flights from Philly. idk how many people r actually gonna be flockin' to PR from philly on a daily basis 🤑. and isnt puerto rico still dealin with some major economic issues? i mean, dont get me wrong, its great they're tryin to boost tourism, but can't we talk about the bigger picture for a sec? 💸🌴

🚨😬 Another thing, have you checked the fuel prices lately? Gasoline is going through the roof! 🚗💸 I just filled up my tank and it cost me like 4 bucks more than usual...and I'm not even traveling anywhere right now 😩. And to make matters worse, JetBlue thinks they can just start charging people $99 for a one-way ticket? 🤦‍♂️ Like, good luck with that, I'll believe it when I see it 😒.

🤔 I'm so excited about this new route! My nephew just got back from Puerto Rico last month and he said the island was absolutely stunning. He's been counting down the days until JetBlue adds more routes 🕰️. The discounted fares are a great incentive for people to book those flights, especially with spring break coming up. I've already checked the prices and my sister is thinking of booking a trip in April ⏰. Can't wait to see all the amazing photos she'll be sharing from the beach! 🌴

omg this is awesome 🤩 jetblue is finally bringing some much needed love to philly & puerto rico! i'm so down for those daily nonstops esp since frontier & spirit already do 'em... like why should ppl have to fly thru nyc or another city when they can get a direct flight? 😏 anyway, i'm all about that economic development & increased visibility for the island 🌴👍 plus, who doesn't love a good $99 deal? 🤑 just hoping they'll keep those fares reasonable once the 'limited time' thing is over 💸

omg have u ever been to the beach in jersey? i mean its not puerto rico or florida but its still got some awesome spots like cape may 🏖️🌊 and the boardwalks are always lit on summers, plus u can try the famous saltwater taffy lol anyway back to jetblue sounds like they're expanding their routes a lot, kinda cool but i dont think ill be taking one of those flights anytime soon, might just stick to my road trips 🚗
