Keeping youths in care out of trouble | Letter

I dont get why its so hard for these kids to have stable homes 🤷‍♀️, like, cant we just make sure they have food and shelter first? And whats with all this age thing, 18 seems old but i guess its like, the law or something 😒. I mean, isnt it more important to help them figure out who they are and stuff before they leave care? Theyre already feeling lost and isolated... 🤔. I wish there was a way to connect these kids with some positive role models or mentors, thats gotta be hard for them 🌟

I totally feel for these kids who are going through so much already 🤕. It's not just about giving them a roof over their heads, it's about giving them a sense of belonging and stability. They need people in their lives who care and can offer guidance. I think we need to rethink our approach on supporting these young people from a younger age, like from primary school onwards. We should be providing more than just academic support, but also emotional support and social skills training. It's not rocket science, it's just about giving them the tools they need to succeed in life 🌱💪

I'm so worried about these young folks leaving care, you know? They're already struggling so much, and then we drop the ball on providing them with stable housing and support services. It's like, they need a safety net, but instead, they're left to figure it out on their own 🤔. I mean, can't we see that investing in their future is way cheaper than keeping them locked up in the system? And what about all the emotional scars from being in care, or not having positive relationships with family and friends? We need to do better, you know? Provide them with a solid foundation, like education and job training, so they can build a life for themselves. It's time to break that cycle of poverty and inequality! 💪

I'm getting worried about these kids who come out of care system... 🤕 They deserve so much more than what they're gettin' most times. Stable homes, good education, proper social connections... it's like they're bein' thrown into the deep end without any lifeline. I mean, we all know how tough it is to navigate our 20s, but add care system on top and it's like they're cursed from the start. Housing, careers, personal development - these are the things that can make or break 'em, and yet so many of 'em get left behind. It's no wonder we see so many of 'em end up in trouble... 🤦‍♀️ We need to do better by these kids, for their sakes and ours.
