King of Prussia Mall display offers glimpse of Philadelphia Flower Show

A small but vibrant slice of the Philadelphia Flower Show has taken root at the King of Prussia Mall. Through Monday, February 16, shoppers can catch a glimpse of a stunning floral sculpture on the second floor of the luxury wing, giving them a sneak peek into this year's theme, "Rooted: Origins of American Gardening".

The installation, which includes three wooden pedestals in a pyramid shape, is a poignant representation of how gardening is passed down between generations. The artist has intertwined flowers, mosses, and greens to create a beautiful and thought-provoking piece that pays homage to the rich history of planting in America.

According to Seth Pearsoll, creative director of the Philadelphia Flower Show, the sculpture is "Rooted in strength, endurance, and natural beauty" - qualities that inspire awe and reflection. The theme of the show is part of a three-year series exploring the past, present, and future of gardening in the United States.

The mini-sculpture on display at the King of Prussia Mall is just a taste of what's to come at the Flower Show itself, which runs from February 28 to March 8. The show will feature an array of stunning displays, including sculptures inspired by history, such as "The Forest Floor", and installations that showcase how horticulturalists developed their passion for plants.

For now, mall-goers can stop by and appreciate the intricate details of this beautiful floral piece before it disappears into the Flower Show's grandeur. The installation is a sweet preview of what's in store for garden enthusiasts and flower lovers alike.

OMG I love floral sculptures 🌺😍! Like, I went to my grandma's garden last summer and she showed me all these beautiful plants and flowers... it was so pretty! But I'm not even sure if I get the theme of this flower show yet... is it about how people used to garden in America or something? πŸ€” And why do they use mosses and greens with the flowers? Is that like, a thing now? πŸŒΏπŸ’š Anyway, I wanna see this sculpture at the mall ASAP! Does anyone know when it's gonna be taken down after Monday? 😬

I'm so down for this! πŸŒΈπŸ‘ They're really selling this Philly Flower Show thing, and I gotta say, that sculpture at the King of Prussia Mall looks stunning 😍. It's all about the history of gardening in America, which is kinda cool. I mean, who knew flowers had such a rich past? πŸ€” And now they're gonna have even more epic stuff at the actual Flower Show... my budget might be broken by then though πŸ’Έ.

I think its so cool that they're bringing a little bit of the Flower Show to the mall 🌼❀️. It makes me feel nostalgic, you know? I remember when my grandmother used to have this huge garden in her backyard, and we'd spend hours planting flowers and veggies together... it was like our own special thing 😊. The way they've put all these different plants and mosses together is really beautiful - its like a little piece of American history 🌿. I'm definitely gonna go check out the Flower Show when its on, but this mini-sculpture is giving me all the feels right now ❀️

πŸ€” I mean... I don't know if this is a good idea, but at the same time, it's kinda awesome? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ I'm all about supporting local artists, but come on, a mini-sculpture in a mall? It's like they're trying to water down (no pun intended) the real deal. And what's with the pyramid thingy? I mean, I get the whole generations passing it down vibe, but three pedestals? Too much for me. 😐 On the other hand, if it sparks some interest in gardening and inspires people to get out there and plant some flowers... then yeah, that's a win πŸŒΌπŸ’š. But can't they just leave this little mini-scene as is, without touting it as part of some grand Flower Show extravaganza? It's like they're trying too hard πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ.

I don't know about you guys but I'm not exactly blown away by these new tech advances... I mean, have you seen this thing? A whole sculpture made out of flowers at the mall πŸŒΌπŸ€” It's pretty, I guess, but it's still just a bunch of dead plants on pedestals. And what's with all the fuss about "Rooted: Origins of American Gardening"? Can't we just talk about something that actually matters... like how AI is gonna replace our jobs or something πŸ€–πŸ’Έ

idk about this... a whole theme based on "Rooted" seems kinda generic to me πŸ€”, i mean, how original can it be? a pyramid shape with flowers and mosses sounds pretty basic too. its more like something u see in any old botanical garden or floristry shop lol. plus, is it really worth taking up space at the King of Prussia Mall just for a mini-sculpture? cant they just leave it outside or somethin' πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ?

omg u gotta check out this floral sculpture at King of Prussia Mall! πŸŒΌπŸ‘€ its so pretty & meaningful too! i love how its a mini version of the real show, shows u the creativity & effort that goes into making it all happen. they did an amazing job with the pyramid shape & the way they intertwined everything is like art, dont know what the artist was thinkin but its def genius 🀯 cant wait to see the whole flower show when its up, been looking forward 2 it! πŸ’

OMG 🀩, have you seen the stats on flower shows? Like, last year's Philly show had 500k attendees & this one is gonna break records with 700k+ visitors! πŸ“ˆπŸ’ And btw, did u know that America has over 40k nurseries & gardening stores?! πŸŒΏπŸ›οΈ The fact that a small slice of the flower show is at King of Prussia Mall already got me hyped for Feb 28 - March 8! πŸŽ‰ But seriously, those pyramidal pedestals are giving me major art vibes... and did u know that most flowers in American gardens were brought by European settlers? πŸŒΊπŸ‘€ Also, 65% of Americans prefer indoor gardening over outdoor & 70% think local gardening is a great way to reduce carbon footprint! πŸŒ±πŸ’š

I'm absolutely fascinated by the idea of how this floral sculpture at the King of Prussia Mall captures the essence of gardening as a tradition passed down through generations 🌼. It's truly captivating to see how the artist has woven together flowers, mosses, and greens to create a stunning piece that pays homage to America's rich horticultural history. The pyramid shape with three wooden pedestals is a masterful stroke, evoking a sense of strength and endurance πŸ’ͺ. I'm curious to see how this mini-sculpture translates to the larger show at the Flower Show – will it indeed be "Rooted" in natural beauty? πŸ€”

ugh, another excuse for people to waste their money on overpriced flowers 🀣... i mean, who needs a whole week of expensive flowers when you can just stick some plants in your backyard? 🌿 the fact that they're charging admission just to see it is just great, another way for them to squeeze every last penny out of people's wallets πŸ’Έ. and don't even get me started on the "poignant representation" of how gardening is passed down between generations... sounds like a bunch of fancy way of saying "we spent a lot of money on this and we want you to pay for it too!" πŸ€‘

omg i just saw that on my feed 🀩 its sooo gorgeous!! i love how they incorporated mosses and greens to add this extra dimension to the sculpture, makes me wanna go visit it ASAP πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ the theme "Rooted" is giving me all the feels 😊 cant wait for the main flower show to start and see more of these stunning displays πŸŒΊπŸ‘

omg this sounds like such a cool idea! πŸ€” i love how they're using the mall to give people a sneak peek at the flower show, it's like a little surprise 😎. i'm curious about this "Rooted" theme tho... what does it mean for gardening in america? is it all about preserving history or looking towards the future? πŸŒ±πŸ’‘ and btw how do they make these flowers last that long? i wanna see the full show when it opens πŸŽ‰

I'm low-key obsessed with this mini-sculpture at the King of Prussia Mall πŸŒΈπŸ‘€ it's so beautifully done, you can already tell they've poured their heart into creating something special. I love how it represents the passing down of gardening traditions - it's like a little piece of history right in front of us πŸ’š And can we talk about the theme "Rooted: Origins of American Gardening"? It's so relevant for our times, especially with everyone being more mindful of where their food comes from 🌱πŸ’ͺ I'm excited to see what else the actual Flower Show has in store - it looks like it's going to be a game-changer! πŸ’₯

omg I'm lovin' this! they're gettin' all fancy with the Philly Flower Show πŸŒΌπŸ‘ the whole "Rooted: Origins of American Gardening" thing has me intrigued, like how can a flower show even be rooted in history? and that sculpture on display at the King of Prussia Mall? it's giving me major feels - the way they've woven all those flowers and greens together is just so... soothing 🌿

but, I gotta ask, are they really gonna make us wait till Feb 28 for the full shebang? πŸ€” that's like, almost a month from now 😩 I need my flower fix ASAP!

omg I just saw this pic on Instagram and I am DYING over the layout 🀩! The way they arranged the flowers, mosses, and greens around those wooden pedestals is like nothing I've ever seen before πŸ’š it's so symmetrical and visually appealing... I need to see more of the Flower Show when it opens up at the end of Feb, defo going to check out that "The Forest Floor" sculpture πŸŒΏπŸ‘
