Knicks’ Josh Hart exits early after reinjuring right ankle again

Knicks' Josh Hart Exits Early with Another Ankle Injury as Detroit Rout Looms

Josh Hart's injury woes continued on Saturday night in Detroit as the Knicks' star guard limped off the court after re-injuring his right ankle, forcing New York to suffer a devastating 118-80 loss against the Pistons.

The Knicks were already beset by injuries prior to Hart's exit. The team had already listed OG Anunoby and Karl-Anthony Towns as questionable for the game due to toe soreness and an eye laceration, respectively.

Despite a strong start from Jalen Brunson, who praised his teammate's toughness, it was clear that Hart's injury would have a significant impact on the Knicks' chances of success. When asked about his expectations for the trade acquisition, Jose Alvarado, who completed his physical on Thursday and is expected to make his debut Sunday in Boston, offered an optimistic outlook.

"He brings a level of toughness to the team," said Coach Mike Brown. "His energy is unmatched." The Knicks are expecting Alvarado's quick playmaking and shooting ability to push their offense forward. His ability to touch the paint and create scoring opportunities will also be a valuable asset in the team's high-powered attack.

The Knicks' acquisition of Alvarado marks an effort by Coach Mike Brown to revitalize his team's offense. The 28-year-old guard has been around for some time, having played for several teams including Houston and Philadelphia, before landing with New York this week.

With Josh Hart's injury setback, the Knicks will now rely on Jose Alvarado's skills to push their fast-paced attack into high gear. Whether or not they can overcome the Detroit Pistons' dominating performance remains to be seen but one thing is certain that Alvarado has certainly given them a boost in anticipation of what may happen going forward with him joining Sunday for his first game in Boston.

aww, come on Knicks fans 🤣! You guys are gonna bounce back from this tough loss against the Pistons. I mean, Josh Hart's injury is super bumming, but Coach Mike Brown got a great replacement in Jose Alvarado 🤩! He's got that toughness and energy that's gonna take your offense to the next level 💪. And let's be real, 118-80 might not sound like a huge margin of victory, but it's still a W, right? 😉 So, keep your heads up, Knicks fans! You've got Alvarado watching over you, and I'm sure he'll help your team get back on track in no time 🌞.

Ugh, ankle injuries are the WORST 🤕! Can't believe Josh Hart's injury woes continue to pile up on the Knicks 🙄. On a more positive note though, I'm SO stoked about Jose Alvarado joining the team 💥! He sounds like an amazing addition to their offense, and his toughness and energy are exactly what they need right now 💪. The trade acquisition is a great move by Coach Brown, and I'm curious to see how he'll shake things up with Alvarado on board 🔄. Fingers crossed the Knicks can bounce back from this loss and start winning some games soon 🏀💫!

man, Josh Hart's ankle injury woes are like a never-ending nightmare for the Knicks 🤕... seriously though, it's getting to the point where they need to think about giving up on this season and just building around Jose Alvarado's skills for next year 💔. I know Mike Brown thinks he brings toughness and energy, but let's be real, Hart is a way better scorer than Alvarado 😐... still, gotta give credit to the guy for being optimistic despite all the injuries, that's some good team spirit 🤝. anyone else think the Knicks are gonna make it out of the lottery next year? 📊

Ugh, this is like, why do these things always happen to the Knicks?! 🤦‍♂️ They're already struggling with injuries and now Josh Hart goes down again. I mean, can't he just have one game without getting hurt?! 😩 On a more positive note tho, I'm hyped for Jose Alvarado joining the team! He sounds like a total baller 💪 With his playmaking and scoring abilities, maybe they can finally get their offense going. Fingers crossed he brings some much-needed stability to the lineup 🤞

Ugh 🙄, another guy goes down with an injury and you think just because they bring someone new on board it's gonna magically fix everything? Like, we've seen this before with Alvarado, he's been around the block a few times, what makes anyone think he's not gonna get hurt too? And meanwhile Hart's ankle is still super messed up 🤕. I'm just waiting for the day when they gotta bench everyone and play 10-year-olds 👦🏻 because that's how many players they've got healthy.

ugh, another ankle injury... like, how many times does Josh Hart need to reinjure himself? 🤦‍♂️ Anyway, I guess Jose Alvarado's arrival is looking up as the team is expected to ride his "energy" and "toughness" to push their offense forward. sounds like a tall order considering they just got trounced by 38 points 😅. can't wait to see how this plays out on Sunday in Boston 🤔

ugh, this is so frustrating 😩 - Knicks are just getting knocked around and Josh Hart can't even stay healthy 🤕... and now they're counting on Jose Alvarado to turn it around? 🤔... I mean, he does sound like a promising addition 🌟 but will he be enough to make up for the losses they've suffered so far? 🤷‍♂️

Ugh, this team's luck is just terrible 😩. First Josh Hart goes down, and now it's like the injuries are piling up. OG Anunoby and Karl-Anthony Towns were already dealing with their own issues, so this is just a mess 🤯. And to make matters worse, they got dominated by the Pistons 118-80? 😳 That's not even close. But hey, on the bright side, Jose Alvarado might be able to bring some life to the team's offense 💪. I mean, he's been around for a bit and has some skills, so maybe this guy can turn things around for them 🔥. Still, it's gonna be tough without Hart, and I'm not sure if they can overcome that deficit 🤔.

Ugh, another ankle injury 🤕 for Josh Hart... it's like he can't catch a break! 😩 The Knicks are already struggling and now they're gonna have to rely on Jose Alvarado to fill the gap? 🤞 I mean, I'm happy to see them trying new players out, but this is just so frustrating... did they not do their due diligence when Hart got traded in? 🙄 Anyway, here's hoping Alvarado can bring some magic to the court and get the team back on track 💫

Ugh, this is getting frustrating! 🤯 I mean, I'm loving the energy around Jose Alvarado's debut, but can't we catch a break? 🙄 Hart's ankle injury woes are just...ugh. It's like he's jinxing us every time we think things are going our way. And to make matters worse, that Detroit game was brutal 😳. I'm still hoping Alvarado brings some of that magic from Philly to New York and helps turn this season around 🤞. The offense needs a spark, and if anyone can bring it, it's him 💥. Fingers crossed for Sunday's game in Boston! 🙏

Ugh, this season's gonna be tough for the Knicks 🤯. Another ankle injury from Josh Hart and it just keeps piling up on their star players. OG Anunoby and Karl-Anthony Towns already dealing with issues too 🤕. But on a more positive note, Jose Alvarado looks like he's exactly what they need – his toughness and energy are gonna be game-changers in the paint ⚡️. The thing is, even if Alvarado shines, can they keep up with the scoring frenzy? Detroit just destroyed them 😳. Coach Mike Brown needs to make some strategic calls ASAP or it's gonna be a long season 📊.

Umm... so like, Josh Hart gets hurt again 🤕 and now the Knicks are in big trouble? I mean, it's not just Hart, they already had other players out with injuries too. And now Alvarado is about to join the team, but will he be able to make a difference? Coach Brown thinks so, but what if the Pistons are just too strong for them this time? 🤔 The game was super one-sided anyway, 118-80? Like, what happened there? 😅

omg I cant even right now!! 😩 Josh Hart's injury woes are getting worse & it looks like the Knicks R REALLY counting on Jose Alvarado to save the season lol can this guy do it?? 🤔 he's got some big shoes 2 fill, but if anyone can do it, its him 🤞 I'm low-key hoping for a trade 4 a true star tho, not just a filler player... we need someone with major scoring potential, like Curry or Giannis would be AMAZING 🤯
