Lana Del Rey is teasing the release date of her highly anticipated new single, "White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter", which she's revealed will be out on February 17th. The songstress took to Instagram last Saturday to give fans an update on her long-awaited country album, aptly titled Stove.
Del Rey shared a short clip with her followers, stating that this is the track she's been waiting for and that it features "that magical chord" that finally came together after months of work. She also gave credit to co-writers including her husband Jeremy Dufrene, as well as producers Drew Erickson and Jack Antonoff.
In an interview-style clip within the video, Del Rey discussed how some bits and phrases were added by other collaborators during the creative process. Additionally, she revealed that a music video for "White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter" has already been completed β although it required hours of editing and downloading before being ready to share.
This release follows Lana's announcement at last year's Billboard x NMPA Songwriter Awards in January 2024, where she confirmed her country album would be titled Lasso, set for a September 2024 release. The project has since undergone some significant changes, with the title and release date being adjusted before ultimately being released as Stove.
The singer-songwriter's upcoming 10th album is expected to arrive within the next few months, although the exact date remains shrouded in mystery due to the time-consuming nature of vinyl production.
