Large water main leak spotted in N. Harris Co. has been going on for a week, neighbor says

A Large Water Main Leak in Northwest Harris County has Been Causing Headaches for Neighbors for Weeks.

Residents of northwest Harris County are fed up with the ongoing water main leak that has been flowing into the street for at least a week. The issue was spotted on Monday afternoon near Rushcreek and Northborough, in front of an apartment complex. According to eyewitnesses, crews from the utility company arrived at the scene and began closing off the area as they attempted to dig up the pavement to address the leak.

The situation has caused significant inconvenience for nearby residents, especially those who rely on the pickup-and-drop-off zone near the leak for their daily commutes. As one neighbor pointed out, this particular spot is a high-traffic area where people often drop off or pick up children at school.

Residents have expressed frustration over the prolonged duration of the issue, which has been ongoing for several weeks. "It's just been an ongoing problem," said the woman who shared her concerns with ABC13. "We're trying to get our daily lives back on track."

The utility company has confirmed that they are working on resolving the issue as quickly and safely as possible. However, further details have not been released.

Residents are being advised to exercise caution when traveling through the area until the leak is fully repaired.

You know what's wild? We're in the middle of a water main leak for weeks and nobody's talking about it like they would on election day - you know, a major infrastructure issue that affects thousands of people 🤯. I mean, we're used to hearing about 'infrastructure' as an excuse for politicians not doing their jobs, but here we are with a $100K+ water main leak and no one's demanding answers 🤑. It's like, where's the outrage? When will our leaders step up and say 'enough is enough'? We need to start treating these kinds of issues like they're a major campaign promise - because if they were, we'd see some real change 🔩. The fact that this utility company can't even get it done in a week and a half is just staggering... what's going on over there?

Ugh I'm so done with this water main leak thingy in northwest Harris County 🤦‍♀️! Like, a week already and it's still not fixed? How many times can they close off the roads before they lose their minds? And what about all the people relying on that pickup-and-drop-off zone for school runs? It's like, come on guys! Get it together! 💔 The least they could do is give us some heads up when it's going to happen again. Newsflash: we don't want to be stuck in traffic because of a leaky pipe 🚧💨

I feel so bad for those neighbors living in northwest Harris County. It's like their daily commutes just got a whole lot harder 🤕. But you know what's crazy? We're all going through our own water main leaks, of sorts. I mean, think about it - sometimes life can be unpredictable and messy, and we gotta roll with the punches 💧. The thing is, instead of getting frustrated (which is totally understandable), we should try to see this as an opportunity to practice patience and adaptability 🤝. Maybe those weeks without a reliable water main leak will be the perfect chance for our neighbors to connect with each other on a different level or explore alternative routes to their daily destinations 😊. It's all about perspective, folks!

Ugh 🤦‍♀️ this is so annoying! I feel bad for those neighbors who have to deal with this everyday, especially the parents with kids... how stressful must that be? 🙅‍♀️ And what's up with the utility company not fixing it sooner?! Weeks is a long time to have water gushing out into the street. Can't they just patch it up faster or something? 😒 At least the crews are trying, I guess. It's just frustrating when you need to use the same spot every day and it's all blocked off for repairs. Do they usually take this long to fix these kinds of things?!

Ugh, water main leaks are like my aunt's gossip - they just won't quit! 😂 For real though, can't these utility companies get it together? Like, I know accidents happen and all, but weeks? That's just a long time to be dealing with flooding and traffic jams. And poor people who have to drop off their kids at school... I feel for them, that's like the ultimate commute stress 😩. Hopefully they can fix this thing soon, I'm tired of hearing about it! 💧🚧

man, this water main leak thingy in harris county is such a pain 🤦‍♂️... it's like they're just making things worse by closing off that whole pickup-and-drop-off spot near the school 🚗😩... can't they just get some extra crew over there ASAP to fix it already? 💪 and what's up with the utility company not giving us more info on when this is gonna be fixed? 🤔 seems like they're taking their sweet time about it... still, gotta give 'em points for trying to do things right, you know? 💯 just wish our infrastructure was better so we wouldn't have these kinds of issues in the first place 🤦‍♂️...

man this water main leak thingy is gettin so old 🤯 like what's goin on here? can't these ppl just fix it already?! 🙄 i feel for the neighbors gotta be drivin crazy with the traffic and all, but at least they're tryna help out ASAP 💪 gotta stay patient tho, water mains are complicated af 🤷‍♂️
