Letitia James visits Brooklyn soup kitchen as SNAP delays drag on

man this is crazy I'm watching this unfold like it's 2008 and the great recession we're talking about people going hungry because of some government thing I'm just worried about my aunt who lives in Brooklyn she relies on food banks after losing her job during the pandemic now they're telling her even more funds are gonna be delayed she's already struggling to make ends meet...

Ugh, this is getting out of hand 🤯... I mean, can't believe the gov's delayin' aid to ppl who really need it 😓. It's like they're playin' with people's lives. The lines at those soup kitchens are gettin' crazy long - what if nobody shows up for dinner? 🍴 That's a recipe for disaster. I feel so bad for the families strugglin' to make ends meet, and now they gotta worry 'bout food for their kids 🤕. We need some real solutions from our gov ASAP ⏰.

Ugh, this is so worrying 🤯... I mean, who wants to stand in line for food because the government can't figure out how to send it on time? 🙄 It's already hard enough for people living paycheck to paycheck, and now they're being forced to choose between eating or paying their car insurance? 😩 That's just cruel. And what really gets me is that these people are already struggling just to get by - cancer patients like Raymond Cuevas who need food but can't afford it because of the delay... 🤕 It's not right. Can't we just sort this out already? 💁‍♀️

I'm so worried about people like Ali and Raymond who are already struggling to get by 🤕. Delaying SNAP benefits during a federal government shutdown is just cruel ⏰. I mean, can't they see how desperate these families are? It's not right that some ppl have to choose between feeding their kids or buying car insurance 🚗🍴. We need our gov to step in ASAP and fix this mess 💪. Congress needs to take action and make sure ppl get the help they need before it gets too late 😬. This is a human crisis, not just a politics issue 🤝.

🤯 It's utterly disconcerting to see how the delayed SNAP benefits are exacerbating existing vulnerabilities in our society. The notion that people are being forced to choose between feeding their families and paying for car insurance is a stark reminder of the administration's callousness. 🚫 This crisis demands immediate attention from lawmakers, who must work tirelessly to resolve this situation as soon as possible. We can't afford to wait any longer, especially with the federal shutdown showing no signs of resolution ⏰. The stakes are too high, and the consequences for those relying on SNAP benefits will only worsen unless we take swift action.

🤔 I'm not buying that the White House didn't have access to info about this before they announced partial payments would be issued 🤑. How could they claim ignorance when Congress and courts are already involved in the issue? It seems like a PR stunt to delay aid while trying to avoid taking responsibility for their actions 🙄. And what's with all the "God is watching" comments from Raymond Cuevas? Is he getting paid to spread that kind of message? 💸 The USDA should be held accountable for not providing timely comment on this situation, and Congress needs to step up and take action ASAP ⏰
